69012 Ready for Testing at Longport Electro-Motive. 56303 60014 56081 08523 & Crippled 66048 Present

Dropped into Electro-Motive Longport to catch up with 69012 before it leaves base on a test run. Also present in the yard were 60014 56303 66048 56081 & 08523.

Great footage of this fascinating yard, I went past there this morning and seems like 69012 has been moved up a bit, you can see it as you're going past towards Longport station

Great video there. So upon my calculations with these Class 56 to Class 69 conversions almost complete? As GBRF are having 14 Class 69's from the Class 56's? After that, would I be right to suspect that 60014 will be worked on next after these as the first of many planned repurposed Class 60's that will become a possible Class 71? Or would anyone know if the Classes 61-64 are available to be used? I for one will be keeping an eye on this progression of what will become of these Class 60's in the future. Thank you Pete 👍 The class 69 project should be complete as you mentioned, so all eyes on 60014 to see if it gets moved inside !! Seems strange 56081 still in the yard untouched same as 56303

Why is 303 there? What happened?,also was 60014 the one previously stored at Crewe IEMD?

56303 had a bump at Willesden, gather it will be used for spares ? Don’t think it will be used for the class 69 project due to the damaged caused ! 60014 travelled to Longport from Toton for assessment. Still there just the shell. Hopefully see some movement on this soon !!
