SAD really for sake of cam belt kit. IE change water pump belt & tenstioneer older stuff 50- 75.000 mile 4 , 5 years this would no t happen . STILL keeps u in work .
@jacobmeijer12119 ай бұрын
We used to keep them around 55+ with new belts, they tend to retard when aging... did them with running engine, rotating the tensioner and idler, kind of a concentric...
@twocvbloke9 ай бұрын
There's something to be said for non-interference engines, like, no valve smashing if someone got lazy and didn't do the belt in time... :P

Another good un al are the 5 cylinder merc an Volkswagen lt 's the same engine? . The 5cyl sprinters I drove would show at least 110 . Loved driving them . The got a 4cly one that was limited to 72 ish😪. Think my 5cyl was on a V and my first 4 clyd on a X . Loved driving them 👌
@6DDIESELSDorset9 ай бұрын
Sadly not the five cylinder merc is utterly indestructible and has a timing chain sadly the Vw had the rubbish rubber belt! But if you keep them up to date they go forever 👍
