Hello Rob & Chris, I so enjoyed the fast forwards film with the voice over - made it so interesting! Just to mention, i worked on Vulcan aircraft (engine mechanic) and they was washed ( ontop and below on the outside!!) before being worked upon in the hanger - soapy water, applied by a brush, then "rinsed off" by a fire tender!! Engine sounds great!! Best wishes from Lincolnshire.

I like it when a plan comes together. It doesn't matter how many engines people do, you include of course, it is so satisfying when it fires up and first time even better! Great to see it up and running again! They always said that the Rover K series petrol engines were unreliable, but it looks like those type of Ford Diesel engines as just as bad if not worse! Never mind; it gives Phoenix plenty of work!

To be fair the engines are solid. What happened here was an injector failed and the owner chose to ignore it. There would have been warning signs something was amiss long before the piston broke.
