I was kinda wondering how this would work with a flight sim. Looks good!

It feels good, It took a few days ... But I had to hack the plugin to provide the rotational velocity data that I use to base my movements off of.

Niiice intro 🙌. ¿Have you ever think about 3 screens?

I have, need to keep the weight down.... Most likely would do a nice large curved super ultra wide monitor, and or VR next.

@@Christopherknauf I´m too thinking about a 32:9 but... its not the same (on racing you cant look to your left like a triple monitor. Example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ6phYyXiL52bMU or kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6mldKh-mNKCZsk

Agree on the size diff, but for the platform keeping it simple is key, one mount,... Perhaps with a little bit of supports on the side and these should work nice.... But I'm holding off...as I want to build a race car!

@@Christopherknauf true true... you decide XD. Race car... thats more expensive.

How did the landing feel? Looked good at least. Considering the 6DOF

Wow, where can I buy that? Or do you have plans for this to buy? This is exactly what I was looking for MS 2020. Will it work with it?
@Christopherknauf4 жыл бұрын
I actually just uploaded a ms2020 vid last night, take a look! , I may have been the first on the internet to do so. I created a telemetry server that get position and force data to simtools. Unfortunately at least for now it is very cpu intense(frame rate suffers) to process due to a bug in the sdk,... But I have been told the sdk team is aware and are looking at a fix.... So it may be a few weeks before a better performing version will be released. Stay tuned!

Also, the rig itself is diy, and open sourced... So you can build it and make it better!... There are several people over the world that have built and are in process now. Check out my vids and GitHub projects in the descriptions. Thanks!

@@Christopherknauf You from germany? Is there a list what components and software is needed to build it? If it isvpayware, i dont care ;)

@@moschidreamer The Family name is from Germany, They came over through Ellis island long ago. I put the project including main details/parts/ PCB/code on Github - github.com/knaufinator/6DOF-Rotary-Stewart-Motion-Simulator I am currently working on a new PCB some further safety features like a soft pause,..spike filtering, and bluetooth /Android app for config/monitoring. I do release everything on the Github page. This to me is the ideal setup, cost wise, performance, size, and I wanted to help bring it to gamers with as little investment like they cant even get at a high end arcade... (this will injure you severely if you want it to ) and what most people dont think about is that its nearly silent in operation. If you so feel inclined, I accept donations to my paypal account chrisknauf@gmail.com which would surely be invested back into the platform. There are several people with this project ongoing, and I try to help them all out, its really cool to see others expand on and assist in development of this really cool project.

Just watching the first few minutes here and couldn't help but notice the motions are reversed from what they should be. Can you reverse them in the software?

Yeah, it's up to personal preference, but opposite forces are common...

~5,000 usd, it's open source and lots of folks are taking a stab at the project!
