Got my built block from Ray and Merkle a while back. All the blessings in a 3.1 liter over bore 6g72. Opted not to get the billet crank. Mine is forged. I did.get billet rods.

Cant wait to see it installed. Looks like a pretty sick build.

I’ll have to give them a call, and have you guys do my six speed transmission. There goes +10k lol

I kept looking at Ray's short blocks, but just decided to build my 2 bolt. I've got BC rods, Wiseco pistons, ARP main studs, then going ARP head studs and fresh valves up top. That thing should be a beast.

My brother, don’t waste your money on ARP studs. OEM have been proven throughout to be stronger. Save your money! Good luck

@@CMGDMovies For the boost I'll be running I'll stay with the ARP. $400 for a safety factor is nothing compared to the thousands of other dollars already spent.

Thank you for investing into this beautiful platform!! Would it be viable to put a stroker kit into a 2 bolt turbo block?

Is there a billet option for the short block on a 6g72 tt?

I'm not sure what you mean, this is a billet crank setup for a 6G72 TT

@@alexbland7890 that is kinda about the point where you may consider pistons and rods. Something like this www.rvengeperformance.com/product/wiseco-mits-3000-turbo-14cc-1-250-x-92mm-piston-shelf-stock-kit/ . The stock rods are not a floating pin, so it may also be worth getting some mid grade rods like BC www.rvengeperformance.com/product/brian-crower-connecting-rods-mitsubishi-6g72-5-548-820-866-brod-series-w-arp2000-fastener/

I've been out of the Stealth/3000gt game for about 20 years. Still haven't figured out what causes the spun bearings?
@RvengePerformance2 жыл бұрын
Dented oil pans are the #1 cause. Bad tunes can pound out the main bearings. Poor oiling from dented pans, worn oil pumps, or other oil delivery cause the rod bearing issues. With the oil system in excellent condition and a tune that does not detonate or exceed MTBT they do not spin bearings.
