I like what I am seeing here- marked road. Straight away you can begin to see the beauty of the whole place. See how even keke drivers are observing lane discipline? Now we need signage- warnings about schools, hospitals, speed limits, railway crossing, pedestrian crossing etc to enhance safety. Next stage is greening- trees, grasses, landscaping. Please Gov Otti, dont forget to launch the clean & Green initiative too while you have the public in rapt attention. Overall marvellous!

Why are ppl parking in 1 lane and carrying wheel barrows?? Smh
@LoonieGoon3r2 ай бұрын
These law breakers should be arrested. The road and traffic police ought to be arresting people and tolling their vehicles. This kind be a real revenue maker for the local and State government. They should be charged to court and ordered to pay hefty fines or go to jail. Nigerians need to be treated like children, animals or criminals to behave well. 🤦🏾♂️

Bro even me I looked at the road and compared with Irish and British roads I said this is 6lanes don't mind them pdp or jealousy pple even the juluis berger road in aba looks like 8lanes because its wider than this let's see till they finish that also.

@@adamssolomon2919You are right, the Port Harcourt road Aba, constructing by Julius Berger, is 8 lanes but they just want to make it 6 lanes

Our roads are getting reconstructed but our mindset is still archaic. Why will a sane man continue to drive in opposite directions knowing full well that some so called drivers are not seeing well or their vehicles are under management with poor maintenance, hence brakes might be nonexistent. Why committing suicide in broad daylight driving on opposite direction facing 18 wheelers and everything else. Please kepukepu start preaching on this craziness, it is still very dangerous and prevalent in our dear state. It is an existential threat to lives in our newly constructed roadways
@user-zx9vk4ks6z2 ай бұрын
I understand that the new Abia Task Force would arrest those drivers, take them to a healthcare facility where they will be breathalysed for alcohol, subjected to Psychiatric assessment and taken to mobile court if fit or referred on for treatment if unfit.

@@emmanuelonwuka1532 He is right. Planting trees and grasses cost next to nothing and they will give the city a good look. What do the council employees do all day in Umuahia other than prepare egusi and gossip under the trees? They should get out there and plant trees and should be performance managed on this.

The third lane should not be a bus stop or walking lane. The buses must have special and designated stops away from the third lane of the road
@RadioTV5952 ай бұрын
I imagine the new public transport initiative will include the creation of designated bus stops along major roads. With this, nobody will be allowed to drop or pick passengers outside the bus stops.
