I'm from Kentucky, 58 years old. There's only 1 team that's Kentucky!!!! BBN BABY!!!!Reed is best shooter ever at Kentucky, we've had a couple good ones. Reed just isn't a shooter. He's a complete 🏀 player. Huston the rest league has a problem. Remember Reeds only 19. He's going grow physically, and mentally. He will b a star in couple years. We thought he was a 3 or 4 year kid. I've been watching Reed sense he was in 8th grade. His dad and mom, know 🏀 inside and out. Both great players at Kentucky, Stacie might be better of both, she was a star in hs and at Kentucky. You guys got a great player, and a new nba fan..... LETS GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!

Sheppard had the highest max vertical of any player in the draft combine and almost broke the UK single season steals record owned by Rajon Rondo despite not starting and never playing more than half of the game. He is far more athletic than ppl realize. His dad was my favorite college player and had been a high school high jump champion in Georgia.

He for sure has great genetics ,from both parents but I remember watching his dad and he could get up WAY UP I don’t know if he was up with Kenny Walker but he was close .I remember a game with Louisville Jeff went up for the slam the Louisville player was right there too with hand on ball I think he may have fouled with body .I think it was Billy Packer commenting on Jeff’s jumping ability and giving the other player his due .Jeff Shepard if you read this who was that player ?

Kentuckian here, your right on all accounts. Reed would broke rondos steal record if we had played 2 more games, maybe q in ncaa torney. You all going love Reed, no days off, Reed sleeps, eats and drinks 🏀 24-7,365. He will b a trivia question like Mike was, he get drafted #3, just like Mike. Question will b Reed was drafted 3, who was drafted before him????????

I think on offense, Amen would play PG, Reed would play SG, Cam would play SF. Reed might defense PGs because of his size, but he is not good enough of a ball handler to play point. Amen is not the best ball handler either but he is at least better than Reed. That’s the one thing I hate about Reed’s game is the upright right hand only high dribble. It is so predictable and easy to steal from and totally unusable at the NBA level.
@jamespalmer52423 ай бұрын
@@Blue-no4jt Indeed. Cam really isn't a guard and Reed is pretty much a short 2 guard. Amen is a point who got forced into another role due to injury last season but should be back in place to start this season.

Very well done video...thanks and enjoyed it. Reed went to the perfect situation...FVV as a mentor, Udoka's accountability, the young core with two other playmakers. I would describe Reed as a sneaky athletic, high basketball IQ, gym rat, coach's son, blue-collar worker, fundamentally sound, gritty player, hard-nosed defender, glue guy, lunch pail guy, first one in last one out, overachiever, crafty with the ball, plays the game the right way, floor general, hustle player, high motor, student of the game, scrappy player, and team-first mentality. Additional phrases include tough as nails, floor burns, workhorse, unselfish player, silent leader, cerebral player, headsy, grinder, plays with heart, savvy veteran, knows his role, lunch pail mentality, overcomes physical limitations, does the little things, consistent performer, defensive specialist, reliable shooter, clutch performer, high-character guy, solid fundamentals, not flashy just effective, brings his hard hat, physical defender, great off the ball, team player, student of the game, mentally tough, self-made player, underrated athlete, floor leader, relentless effort, smart defender, battles in the paint, brings energy, heart and soul of the team, consummate professional, sets good screens, hustles for loose balls, great locker room presence, plays bigger than his size, leader by example, executes the game plan, keeps the team grounded, consistent effort, plays within himself, maximizes his talent, always prepared, great basketball mind, respected by teammates, and never takes a play off.

Looking forward to Reed as Rookie of the Year! He is a phenomenal shooter with perfect form but also has better than advertised passing skills. Absolutely a perfect fit with the Rockets supremely athletic wings. I expect contributions this year, backup PG next and starting PG with an All-star third season but... He wasn't expected to contribute much at UK last year and ended up being their most important player. His supposed lack of ability to guard one on one will disappear as he better grasps NBA concepts. He was playing against some of the weakest offenses in the country in high school so he has only one year of experience against elite guys. But even then, he averaged 2.5 steals and almost a block a game. Mr Castle who is supposed to be the defensive guy in this draft didn't come close to those numbers. Shep is a perfect mix of Stockton, Rondo and Curry! Get ready Rockets fans

Reed S. has a number of deficiencies but being able to shoot, (52% from 3 in college...maybe 45% in the NBA) the way he does, is always going to keep him relevant on the team. he rarely hugs the line. Guys got that Curry range. Very similar accuracy whether he's shooting 22' or 26'. It's going to be really hard for defenders to cheat off him, and with that range he can screw up their switch rotations because the guy defending Sheppard has to be outside the 3 point line to do so. Gonna give Sengun, Amen, and Jalen a lot of room to work with when he's on the court with them. Would be real scary if we can get Eric Gordon to come back for a friendly contract, because then the Rockets would have two guys who can really seize the distance and give our non-shooters room to drive and work the lanes.

They need to decide who they want to play between Green, Cam, or Amen. Green might have the most trade value. I think this upcoming season will decide what 3 players out of those 3 they wanna keep. Green probably has the highest trade value. I mean ideally you would want to keep all of them…. But all those players are going to want to start…. And they all have high trade value. If they could put a package together between Smith Jr. and one of those 3 to get say Lauri Markkanen. Pull that trigger baby! That would be Deadly!
