@EuTiming had a vision of them running a fake pick and pop with thompson handling the ball and sengun “popping” except its an immediate handoff or between the legs pass to reed shepard whos cutting behind sengun sengun naturally screens shepards defender in this action giving shepard time to shoot the uncontested 3

They went from having a terrible culture to having one of the brightest future in the NBA in like 3 seasons. It will depend on how well these young players develop though, but the potential is really high. I'm a Spurs fan though, so hopefully they don't become too good lol

I think we need to taper our expectations for Amen Thompson. Remember--players that don't show up on the scouting report tend to get easier coverages. If Amen goes on even a short stint of averaging good numbers on decent efficiency, teams are going to start adjusting and slacking off on him, killing his effectiveness as they make him resort to being an inefficient jump shooter. At the end of the day, if you can't get a bucket outside of like 6ft, you're a liability, especially come post-season, where teams will dare you to make that shot. There are of course exceptions to this, but you essentially have to have a team built around your deficiencies at range, like Giannis, to be efficient on a winning team if you play like Amen. He's still young, so he'll hopefully figure it out, but yeah... he's not likely making any bit leaps this season, and that's okay. Reed Sheppard though... that mf is a hooper.

@chipmunk12272 ай бұрын
They resigned Jalen and Sengun which is great. 3 year contracts I think but don’t quote me on that. It wasn’t even crazy money either. Now we just need to keep Tari, Jabari, and Amen for the next 5 years along with reed when it’s his contract time and the rockets could be a multi championship team in the next 8 years

Just need meme cutaways to become "NBA's Pyrocynical". Im teasing you, geniunely enjoying this so far. Gotta shout out my guys Cole Zwicker, Ben Rubin and Ross Homan etc. They work in houstons front office, in particular, i presume, being involved with draft scouting, so they likely had SOME part to play with some of these aquisitions. Im sure there are other scouts that dont get their just due around the league but these are 3 whose evaluative philosophy, knowledge of the game etc i can attest to.

Not going to lie, the only way they can become a contender is if they trade Green. Like you said, they have too much talent to have him chuck up shots on bad efficiency. Vanvleet, Reed, and Amen is still a very solid backcourt with better defense and chemistry without Green.

I think, coaching matters so much in the NBA in the Rockets may not have as much start talent yet I think the way there Coach uses them and clearly has shown. He’s a winner with adequate talent. Really helps us. I mean this team has an identity of being amazing on the fence, hustling and getting in your face I think they could totally win like 50 games even in a tough Western Conference because they’re benches actually one of the best in the NBA I mean this team goes like 11 to 12 deep

As a Laker fan I think they’ll end up with similar records in the regular season and if they met in the play in lakers would smash them. They have opposite problems, the lakers last season had a really good record against the best teams but dropped too many games against mediocre teams. The rockets were excellent at beating up the bad teams (look at who they played during their win streak) but are too inexperienced for most of the great teams.
@hughjass43802 ай бұрын
@@Adbar10XD hell no the rockets clapping them. Look at the lakers bench lol, the Rockets now have Reed Sheppard, Tari Eason, and Steven Adams. The reason why Rockets didn’t make playoffs was because Sengun and Eason were out, we clearly could rest Sengun and Jalen Green more this season now that we have a lot more talented players. I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if the Lakers become the 13 seed in front of Blazers and Jazz.
