I love how you can put the tablet on your fridge due to the magnets. I find myself doing that every AM when im walking around my kitchen, making coffee, listening to podcasts. Makes it much more adaptable to my routines.

It's a great device, though a tad expensive in. the UK at £600. The disappointment was, in fact, the hub stand as it cannot be used as a standalone device to stream sound. I like to use the tablet and would have appreciated not having to dock the tablet for a simple use case like that. It was a poor decision and hopefully rectified with a new hub as that can quickly be addressed.

i have a google pixel phone and im considering getting this tablet and replacing my laptop with it i would mainly use it for writing notes, studying, and general productivity would this be a good move?

When you dock the tablet, does it go to a "Photo/HUB" profile? Or is it still logged in as the profile last used? Would like to have 2 profiles (wife and I).

I have pixel tablet, i use macrodroid to set the brightness level i want when docked and charging, so that the screensaver wont go dim as you said. Try it

Hello ! tricky question: when the tablet is docked, you can connect an SSD/HDD to its USB-C port and download movies and audios to this SSD/HDD. [from online-cinemas, KZbin …] ? .

I like that Google decided to go somewhere else with their tablet rather than a "productivity" device. Turning a tablet into a productivity device just really turns it into a half-assed laptop. I like that Google pushes ChromeOS for productivity and Android for consumption/home control. The price though for the tablet is a bit too high.

How is it when it comes to multi profiles? Is it only for your room or you can leave it in the kitchen so others can use?

That is one benefit it has over an iPad, you can setup multiple users. You could either set it up as a tablet multiple people can use and not have security as strict , or you could set it up where every person in your home has an account on it. Can you use the tablet like a phone? i.e. If you had the tablet on your desk and a call comes through, can you answer it on the tablet and talk just same as if answering by speaker on phone?

Bought one to use as a TV while gaming … have it on stand next to main TV. Still use iPad for most tablet stuff and the screen isn’t as nice as iPad but the dock is louder and convenient to change volume using voice command etc

The Pixel phones seem to have a front facing camera video call issue. I'm curious to know if it has carried over to the tablet as well. 3rd party apps appear to have poor video quality compared to what is seen in the native camera app. Androidpolice even wrote an article on it with examples. How is the video calling quality for 3rd party apps such as zoom and WhatsApp? Does the tensor chip get hot during extended sessions? Does an iPad have better quality? The above-mentioned apps were supposedly optimized for the Pixel tablet so I'd love to know if it changes anything compared to other tablets.

I have a pixel tablet now and love it. One hang up I do have that I can't figure out is the video calls. I know it has Google Meet and it's easy to connect with outbound calls, but what about inbound calls? How can I contact the device when it's left at home docked while I'm out and away from home to talk to my kids? 🤷‍♂️

I bought this tablet expecting to replace my nest home max in the living room. It just doesn't work. Major problem is you can't access your cameras while it's in dock mode. You have to open the nest app or Google home app to see your cameras. It just doesn't make sense. And then to control your Philips hue's lights your TV and all my other home automation that I use with the next such as the Roomba it just doesn't work. It's not seamless. You can't say hey Google run the vacuum or dim the lights. You have to unlock the tablet for it to work. It's honestly a pain. If I'm in the kitchen cooking and I'm busy I can't just talk to it and have it make a video call. I have to open that tablet and go from there.

Totally my bad, I think I cut part of it out in our final draft of the video. Because I leave it on the dock often, I haven’t fully tested whether or not I get close to 12 hours of battery life on it. That’ll be something I’ll be sure to cover in the full review. - Josh

The main resaon why I didn't buy it yet is, because it doesn't seem to have a sensor for sleep-tracking, a feature rhat i use every night on my Nest hub. So I think, the Pixel tablet can not do sleep tracking at all?

I just got it on sale and it's now a pretty good deal. My old Lenovo was a brick after 12 months, and I bought it for the same price. So I think it's pretty good for the price, but only when on sale.

I've just received this device and it's pretty good but it refuses to connect to my Pixel 7 phone by bluetooth, despite having spent an hour and a half on a chatline with their advisers. The phone connects with everything else by blueooth so it's definitely the tablet. Maybe it's just the particular one I received, but not impressed.
