I love mine. I've had it for several months and I find my laptop and my windows tablet are gathering dust. My only problem is the lack of a true nest hub camera experience and the limited split screen feature. I would love to be able to change apps on one side or the other without having to start over.

And that's okay. this one is plenty enough for now. I don't think there's any features that I can bring to a newer tablet that would make making another tablet worth it just like phones we've hit Peak smartphones

Google has never been about high end. They've been about "decent hardware brought up by amazing software." They're made for those who don't need gimmicks, and that fits perfectly for me. For a tablet all I need is a decent screen and battery, able to stream, and type/write

Now IF I wanted to critique Google's failures with this device, I would write the following. First, it's a brilliant idea, IFFFFF it was executed with some common sense and logic. Unfortunately, Google just doesn't seem to have either of those things, and continues to do some super head-scratching things with it's devices. WHY, oh why would they not have just used the MUCH BETTER base of the Max Hub base and speakers??? That is such a no-brainer. ESPECIALLY for a product that's TWICE THE PRICE of the Hub Max that they market this from! And since they already have those bases of the Nest Hub Max in productivity, why not just put the magnetic hook up on those as a price saving method, with NOT having to manufacture a whole different product line??? Google sometimes acts like the most shortsighted tech company on the planet. And since the speaker base has its own power supply, why not replace the ANTIQUATED barrel connector with the more modern and common USB C, so it could work for both the base and tablet??? FURTHERMORE, why not make it a stand alone smart speaker when the tablet isn't connected, so we have even more feature choices??? Lastly, it's another no brainer that there should be a FACE UNLOCK with the front facing camera, so that it recognizes you like the Hub Max does, unlocks itself and gives you all your relevant information as soon as it see's you. Or, for example, if you are cooking with greasy hands, it can unlock and be controlled by voice to give you whatever you need HANDS FREE!!! These are just common sense ideas, that somehow eluded this cutting edge tech company. Lol. My entire purpose for getting this, was to have a better Smart Home Hub Max, that can do MUCH MORE with the tablet features. And for the most part I got exactly that. I also found an open box deal on eBay, where I purchased the 256gb version for less than $300, including the Speaker dock. Therefore, I've come out well ahead. Sure. But Google's insane misses on soooo many common sense feature transitions with some of these products just drives me crazy, especially with those updates being so logical and easy to see. But the tablet itself is very good, and with a few tweaks Google could make it into something really GREAT.

@1vbAPiYk well it always gets me when people distort context lol...Google's software is "stock" or "clean" because they literally own Android. This is what a clean version of Android looks like when compared to Android tablets from Samsung or Xiaomi or Amazon's Fire tablets that add additional skins and (sometimes) extra apps on top which (when not done well) clutters the experience. And if you use any Google apps or services at all, your data is being collected...so not sure how this is any different from any other Android or Chrome device (or really, any product at all in this digital age)... and you could argue that it's worse on a Samsung tablet because potentially now both Samsung and Google are collecting your data...so unless you don't need to use any Google or social media apps (oops you're watching KZbin), it doesn't seem fair to single this out as anything different

OMT, just as a feedback from a viewer, and while I'm not specifically trying to be offensive, it's going to sound like I am... But I can't believe you even mention a headphone jack in this day and age, ESPECIALLY saying you hope they will bring that back. Why oh why would you even mention that??? I would NEVER buy any device which still has one, as it tells me how moronically backward thinking the company is. EVERYTHING is wireless these days, and people still wearing wires around their heads, look like the idiots who are akin to those holdouts for continuing to use Windows XP, and refuse to upgrade, or those who still think they get better photos from a film camera... Lol. WOW!!!!
