Are noggins needed under NZ3604, my understanding was that the sheathing could provide the required lateral strength? Or is this a requirement for high wind zones?

They are not needed when you have cladding or lining as bracing. But I put them in my designs as they are common and people get anxiety when they do not see them.

There is no predominant wind direction. You can position the cabin in any direction you like. It will still withstand high wind
