ZL1 OUTLAW PERFORMANCE E85 No upper yet. Upper might be in the future if I decide to stay with the stock blower. This was my first rounds of mods and I did them after I had the car for only 3 months haha. I built it to be a street animal and it is, as long as I keep yanking on Z06s and hellcats I’m happy. My ultimate goal is to get another 5th gen and get it to 1000 rwhp, pretty much same goal as you so I’m living through you until I get mine.

darrell blunt right on bro upper pulley would be nice. I’m sure your car is making a lot of power already. But if you decide to stay with your stock blower like me I’m getting Kong’s Performance to do the port job they said that’s good for 50 hp and then I’m gonna do a big cam in it from Lingerfelter performance and they said that’s good for another 50 that’ll be my next mod on my way to 1000 fly wheel horsepower! You can save thousands by porting your blower and you’ll get tons of power.

How did you get rid of the lines on the bumper on top, that don’t line up with the ZL1 hood. The hood looks like it fits perfectly for the SS hood but the ZL1 does not. From the stand point of the lines that are off set on the top.

I’ve wanting to this bumper install for long time but saw how it was molded to line up with the 14-15 hood. I have a vfn cowl hood was concerned about the line up. Miles Marts So when you put the bumper on on the driver side where the bumper meets the hood it came down about a half inch gap. All I did was make some quarter inch spacers and put them underneath then screwed them through the bumper into the frame of the radiator support

It’ll change by years but they’re very similar . Man your car is going to look sick if you put all these parts on it.I got to see this when it’s done

Stephen Randall I purchased the headlights separately. And I got the splitter from Gorilla Splitters.com. They made it for my car so if you’re going to get the same one just tell them about my car and they will know what you’re talking about and what size to cut it.

Zechariah Macaulay It’s going to be a quarter inch or more spacer maybe half inch. All you have to do is shut your hood to see what the difference is for the gap that you have to make up. Once you see how much gap there is get a spacer that’s about the same distance and put it underneath the front part of the lip on the upper part of the bumper and then screw it down.

How were you not impressed with the power?

I wasn’t impressed with the power because of my previous cars. One was my 750 hp nitrous Chevelle big block. And my other car was a 2001 mustang pro charged 23 pounds of boost 624 hp. Both cars were at least 300 or more pounds lighter than the Camaro. But I knew that with the Camaro the platform for building major horsepower. Horsepower that will well exceed the mustang and the Chevelle was there. All I had to do was wake it up. I’m not saying the Camaro was not a fast car stock but from what I was expecting for the price that I paid it didn’t give me that WOW Factor on my first full throttle PULL. But now as the Camaro sits today it is the fastest most ridiculous car I have ever owned!!!

Hey man, Your car is ridiculous! My car is very similar to yours in ways and I want to do the 6th gen bumper switch. Ive seen that on the 2010-2013’s cowl lines on the hood dont flow into the 6th gen ZL1 bumper. It seems that the 14 and 15’s are a little bit wider. Is that why they say Ikon bumpers are just for the 2014’s and 15’s? If that is true, do you think a body shop could get these lines to flow with some body filler? It’s the only thing holding me back on this purchase. Watching your videos, i dont even see lines on your front bumper, are they there? I just see the line that is right down the middle. Hopefully this makes sense, I really dig your car and what is the brand name on your 6th gen headlights. Sorry for all the questions but want to do pretty much exactly what you have rocking. Thanks

Marc Pollard Right on man much appreciated!!! We worked really hard on this car to make it what it is today. And we keep on pushing we got seven different mods that I haven’t put on video yet! No thank you man I really appreciate it!! As for the hood the from bumper does have the lines that don’t line up with the original ZL1 hood. It is just something that I’ve had to live with. Since then I have put the new terminator gt hood on. The new hood lines up with the rest of the front bumper except for the lines that you were talking about. But man it is bad ass!!!! I think what guys are doing is they’re going with a Z 28 hood I’m pretty sure they have the matching lines for the new ikon motorsports six GEN conversion bumper. You would have to check to verify that but I think I’ve seen it before to make the correction. I would not add body filler at all there’s a risk of cracking definitely do not do that!! Are used vland headlights from Amazon! And they worked out great! Jacob Fogarty I drive this car probably four days out of the week. I drive it every chance I get LOL it’s a joy to drive. The splitter is a pain when you’re entering driveways and bumps but you have to hit every bump in every driveway at extreme angle so far so good I may have scraped it a couple times but it still looks exactly the same and it’s not damaged from what the eye can see. I would definitely recommend installing the splitter and gives so much aggression is so much extra to the car
