You need to pump the forks before tightening down the second pinch bolt to align the forks.

Thanks for the video, refreshed my memory as years since doing a vfr front, one thing i found was the LH side linked brake carrier gap / LH fork leg should be set by feeler gauge to clear the disc according to Honda before pinch bolt is tightened as it can rub the disc & might need adjustment

Thanks for the video man. You helped me do my first wheel removal. Before I saw your video I didn't know how to take out the axle and I was pounding it with a rubber hammer while wondering what the little hole was for ! :-)

Darude Sandstorm - Any risks on not tightening all these bolts without torque wrench? Absolutely. If you are a Go-Rilla and don't know your own strength, you can damage the threads on the bolts, the threads in the forks, break off bolts, round off the bolt heads. The key is to get the bolt tight enough to hold. If you own a torque wrench and you are worried about torque spec you should use a torque wrench. After a few years, you will get to a point where you find the muscle memory will allow you to tighten a bolt without damaging it.

Holy crap mike, you made my bike famous.lol..Glad to see you were able to use the footage you took. You're right that Diablo strada that was on there was garbage. The Michelin pilot power on there now is infinitely better, particularly at speed.The Diablo had scalloped and was causing some serious vibration; enough that I thought I had bad wheel bearings. Thanks for the tire, better service than any bike shop I've ever been to. See you again in a few months when I need some new tires. Oh, and she's an '03 not an '02. Cheers.

Scalloped tires are normal wear for bikes.

+K2Nemesis I use Pitbulls for everything. If you get the rear stand get the one which the handle flops forward. The one which the handle goes towards the rear of the bike loses about a foot of clearance. You will end up tripping over the handle walking around the bike. If you leave your bikes on stands when not riding the rear facing handle doesn't allow you to get close to the wall.

My front wheel 'stand', is to put the bike on the center stand and then 60lbs on the back seat. I found square patio tiles do the job. Rock solid. vfrworld.com/threads/changing-my-tires.54508/#post-576504
