The first time ive ever seen this thing but it looks sick! Hope you get a good yeild with it

Fyi, self tapping screws will pull that sheet metal together. Then weld up the holes when you pull screws out.
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
That seems like an extremely simple and effective solution that I did not think about!

what he said!!!! should have read further ;-)

Carson... the adjuster screw on the visegrip has a nut style end to get a wrench/socket on... so clamp is on and torque it with the screw.. was better grip and less grunting... for thr hose.. visegrip grip it behind the fitting hit the vicegrip with a hammer...

If you warm up the hoses with a torch, they should slide right off. Trick of the trade
@T0X1C89Ай бұрын
rubber hose tends to "weld" itself to hose barbs overtime, get a hose pick slip it in between the barb and the hose and roll it around the barb this will break the seal then when you are pulling the hose off the barb twist it back and forth to help walk it off
@JB-bs9rjАй бұрын
When adjusting your spray nozzles, you said you needed to move them over 10”. I’m assuming your rows are 20” apart and the tires fit perfectly between the rows. So does it matter if the nozzle is directly above the row vs between the 2 rows? Or inline vs offset from the tires?
@gunnarbeck225Ай бұрын
Also you could have warned the fittings up with a torch or heat gun and it would have come off really easy that's what we do all the time and automotive shops
@gunnarbeck225Ай бұрын
Carson you just purchase a pull behind sprayer that you can use with the cat and you would have way more capacity on the spray tank then you could with the highboy you can still use the highboy for custom jobs and it would still pay for itself use sprayers now or 1/5 the cost of brand new ones
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
I will probably buy a pull behind in the future. But I have made some other purchases here that I have not shown yet so for a year or 2 I will just be using this.
@MadniX2o12Ай бұрын
With that much work it takes because of the hoses and nice rusted bolts, i think it would‘ve been worth replacing all the nozzles so its done and out the way😂

I would have tried a heat gun on the hoses first to see if they would expand, and then twist and pull. I will keep watching 👍

I think i would have tried to screw it down with self tappers, tack the edges, then remove the screws and weld the holes shut. maybe next time. i like that you are using what you've got.

can u explain why the trailer right to the cat chaleenger is tilted up in the air
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
Lol, completely forgot about that. That is my dad and brother’s fuel trailer. It has a crack on the bottom and is leaking. Tilted it up to access it and fix it. Not my project so I didn’t think about explaining.

How’s the cat handling the plow neighbor thinking of buying one in exchange for using my tractor on it ill get to tile my own. Debating 765c or mx305.
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
If conditions are good it handles it pretty well. Because it does not have a swinging drawbar it can't turn with the plow in the ground. If its slippery we need a helper tractor. but overall impressed

I don't know if there's a way through the KZbin community to contact another KZbin farmer. If there is " atrippyFarmer" I swear has one of those sprayers tucked in the corner of the family shed. Like you he is a down the line generation young farmer. Machine is probably his dads or uncles. He bought a Haggie and does his own spraying now.

Yes he does have a 6000, haven’t watched many of his videos but saw it posted on instagram a while back

So tell us how do you just start farming,and already bought equipment?
@DuxsArkАй бұрын
I came up upon his channel when he started this, and he was farming with his family already, so I think that's how he mostly was able to buy some equipment already.
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
Correct. I have bought the sprayer when I was farming with my family. The tractor was bought later. But I am using capital from previous years farming with my family and other business ventures to buy equipment.

@@6thGenFarmer I wish it wasnt so wicked expensive to get started farming I would be a farmer if the costs werent just insane. Land prices pretty much priced me out. Im still bitter about it tbh.
@PaulChaosTodayАй бұрын
You’re overthinking this too much. Having 36 vs 37 spray heads aren’t going to make much of a difference. Make it 19.5” spacing if you think it matters. You can change your nozzle spread.
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
That is a good idea. I had another idea that I ended up using here coming in part 2
