I really love your combination of old and "newer-ish" equipment. And especially how you try to do everything by todays standarts but these old machines arent making it easy for you ^^!

Yea! That was a lot of work but you got it done! I like the holiday themed outro. It's almost time for year in review no?
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
Thank you! With how weird this year has been I don't know if I will make a year end review this year. However, got some super exciting videos coming out here around the new year!

I am so excited for you! Enjoy everything as much as you can, accept the bad times for what they are and most importantly ignore the haters on here. Valid criticism is one thing, but straight up nonsense hating is simply to be ignored or laughed at. I am currently going through a phase where I don't know what I want to do anymore and seeing you "simply" do this, gives me hope and inspiration. Enjoy your vacation!!

Its a learning curve and you will get past it and look forward to seeing you new journey on your land doing things the way you like and whats best for you.

I enjoy your videos. I wish you good luck on your first year of farming on your own. Good or bad, it's going to be an adventure.

For the nozzle numbers..... need to remember you have one at zero.....a 40" boom needs 3, not 2 (0", 20", 40") for simplifying things
@ChrisMaederАй бұрын
Correct! Engineer this out. It should have been obvious that you were on the wrong path in your nozzle placement. It was like watching a slow moving car crash.

Over here in the UK it's not uncommon for a sprayer to have what we call a half nozzle fitted at each end of the boom to allow for any inaccuracies in drilling/planting. The 36 metre machine I used to drive had 72 nozzles at 50cm/20" spacing then an additional half nozzle at each end covering 25cm/10", the current 24 metre one doesn't and it showed on one field this past year!
@jaysonaakre6074Ай бұрын
My sprayer has a few inches of overlap when spraying rows. but ive never noticed any issues. i guess it helps keep coverage if the sprayer or the planter drifts side to side at all.

You do know that you can use windshield washer fluid to 60 below and it works just as good in fact it's a lot cheaper and we use tons of it on our farm and we are farming 7500 acres and we use it in our Huggies or pull behind John Deere 1600gal

He’s doing fine and he won’t fail and there are laters with winter projects when it is six or seven months until it’s time to spray
@hughroney6342Ай бұрын
@@ridingacres9993 and then you need parts that are not available, we have seen this with him before! thats why he has so viewers. Whats the name of his Dad's new channel, likely more fun to watch it?
@6thGenFarmerАй бұрын
Well there are 2 ways of looking at it. I can do 99% of the work now and the last 1% before spraying… or I can do 100% of it 2 days before spraying starts like most farmers. My “later” projects include mounting 2 nozzles (need to be done), straightening out the left boom (not that important) and painting the added metal (aesthetic only). Plus I knocked this all out about 2 hours before leaving for the airport on vacation then edited it with limited resources on the airplane. So under the circumstances I think I am doing very well and am ahead of the game.

@6thGenFarmer very good retort to all of your above critics points. Carson you are on the path to success despite what the above critic might sway some to believe! Has not the news of global parts shortages (seemingly getting slightly better, the last quarter ) not made the news everywhere? I didn't realize we could so easily blame you🤔👀🤣🙃😆🙃😅🚜🌽🌽🎄👍 Good luck and good vacay! Don't get snow/sun burned😎!
