That is absolutely insane technology lol I would say John Deere just solidified the top spot for the sprayer market for at least a few years.

Agreed

Cool video! The tech in Ag is amazing! I love how the Ag community is doing so much that allows you to grow more and better crops within the same footprint as previous generations were able to which feeds more people than was capable just a generation ago AgTech rocks!!

Thanks Carson! Absolutely amazing the technology! Great job explaining to for us and yes you sure are excited! John Deere can try but nothing is as cool as your Hi-Cycle sprayer!!! 🙃

Crisp overview! Thank you. Would love your take - it seems like the window of usage of See and Spray is only between planting and crop canopy closing which is a few weeks in Soybean, Corn and Cotton. While the tech is super impressive - don't you think that window is too limited?
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it is. Here in MN we planted in may and the canopy was closed about a week ago. For use both Rounds of spraying we’re pre canopy

We want to use a similar technology. Only difference is, we want use a drone for spotting the weeds. But we need a drone, a program and a sprayer for this and none of these are cheap these days. 😅But this is our goal that we want to achieve in the near future. Thanks to the prices you want to use the minimal amount of chemical. We ne have a precision fert spreader for the same reason.

Great overview, why are you steering? 🙂
@6thGenFarmer Жыл бұрын
Haha the reason I am steering is because the test field was not planted with auto steer!

What is max crop height clearance, for tall corn🚜🇺🇸🗽❓
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
The same as a normal Deere sprayer. I’m not for sure what it is but once the canopy closes it cannot see and spray anyway
@BWYinYang2 жыл бұрын
I see it more of saving input cost of chemicals than data collecting.
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
Yes the main purpose is to save chemical and input costs. However, I think it is also important to showcase the other less thought of stuff as well. Thanks for the comment!

It's a awesome Sprayer. I just wonder what the replacement cost for the cameras and components will be ?
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
I am not for sure, they haven’t even released pricing for it yet it’s so early
@israelmathes62682 жыл бұрын
@@6thGenFarmer it's a awesome piece. I know it would be beneficial for our farm but we are a dairy farm that milks around 300 avg. We also plant around 650 acres of corn about half for silage on the other half we shell. Unless we decide to get more row crop acres I will be watching you run that nice sprayer.

Sounds great for farmer owned rigs but how does John Deere expect to sell this system to retailers also why disclose how much this system adds to the cost of one of these machines?
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
We were wondering the same thing but a lot of coops have showed a lot of interest. I know of a couple that want to purchase one. As far as price it has not been released yet

Lol, the field was planted with an 8 row planter so we would’ve ran over more crop with autosteer than steering
@ruudvermue53212 жыл бұрын
You said something very important and that is the WORD DATA DATA = The New GOLD When farmers DATA go to The companys that buy your farm products , so they no How manny soja or Corn is planted so they pay farmers always The lowest price because they have al The DATA of The worldwide farmers DATA = for farmers Lowe prices forever 😜😜
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
So what can this do that companies already can’t do? Satellite imagery is already publicly available for anyone that wants to see it so I can look at the imagery health maps of anyone’s field that I want to. If somebody wants to stand count they walk into the field of measuring tape and count in about five minutes, everybody and their brother already publicly posts on Facebook and forums about how the crops are doing. What information can companies get that they don’t already have?

@randychristian76422 жыл бұрын
that's way to much data collection, for someone not friendly can use maybe the wrong way
@6thGenFarmer2 жыл бұрын
So maybe. Satellite imagery is already publicly available, I can view health maps of anyones fields that I choose. This would just be doing it at a better resolution. And if someone really wanted a stand count they could just walk into your field and count 1/1000 of an acre in about 5 minutes. So I don’t really see any more risk than farmers already have. It would just be the convenience of having it created for you in at a better resolution than satellites can do
