I installed XB's on my 2018 Ram 2500 and loved them. Far better than the OEM halogen projectors. I traded that truck for a 2020 Ram Power Wagon two years ago with LED reflectors (not a good light) and thought that I couldn't upgrade to the XB. But from what I see, I can upgrade because the PW has the LED reflectors. These are in my near future!

I have a 2023 Longhorn that comes with the OEM LED headlights and a 2024 tradesmen that comes with Halogen headlights. I replaced the Halogen headlights on the tradesman and installed these exact Morímoto headlights and they light up better than my Longhorns LED oems

The DRLs can be operated without low beam or high beam. They will turn on when the truck turns on!

From looking at other KZbin reviews, a lot of people noted quality issues with these. Such as moisture collecting in the headlight, turn signals failing etc. Do you know if this has been improved?

Update don’t buy alpha Rex when new the DRL went out they sent me a harness fixed now 2.5 years later the driver side low beam went out tried another harness and a capacitor which I had to buy everything for $60. It didn’t fix it’s so the said the board went they can’t repair the light I can’t buy a single light ? So they said to buy another set $1800 wtf for a 2 year warranty no way im ordering the morimoto XB I hope I have better luck . 🍀 Stay away form alpha Rex they look great but shitty lights and 2 year warranty not good

Yes the DRL harness comes with the headlights. It connects to your fuse box to turn the LED strips on the headlights on for a Daytime Running Light function.

Great job Morimoto, those are sick looking headlights, I was especially blown away by the output! Now here's a question for you guys at HR: out of all LED projector assemblies (Morimoto XB or even 7" round ones) you guys have tested so far, which ones by far have the best beam pattern (defined hot spot with the rest of the beam evenly fading away towards the sides without pronounced shadowing or worse) and are the brightest? That is hard to decide from all of the headlights that we have tested in the past, but if we had to choose, the Morimoto headlights have by far the best beam pattern that you can get without doing a full-on retrofit!

@@HeadlightRevolution The reason I'm asking is because I am doing a full-on retrofit for my '01 Honda Insight. My original plan though, was to maybe buy the best performing Morimoto LED headlight, (doesn't matter for which vehicle) take it apart and retrofit the LED projectors from the Morimoto housing into my Insight headlights. I would happily buy a complete plug-n-play Morimoto housing but they don't make anything aftermarket when it comes to my car's headlights, let alone Morimotos. Now, I know I could get Morimoto M-Led, Profile Bi-lens and the like but I love the spider/jewel eye appearance of the Morimoto housings. I would have to disagree, though with the theory that all Morimotos have a great beam pattern. There are a few certain housings (can't remember which exactly) by this brand that have terrible beam patterns (not including the cut-off because these are projector based, or max lux) even when compared to stock, I'm talking about the hotspot, shadowing, and how the beam gradually fades away from the hotspot towards the sides.

I see what you are asking, but that is very odd that some don't perform the same, as they use the same projectors! I have totally heard of someone doing the same process with an old set of the Super Duty XB LED Headlights, and they had great success with that! I think it is totally doable, and I would recommend any of the XB LED housings to be your projector donor!

The high beam spread was fantastic! You have to remember that for the most part, at 25 feet away like in the video, you will not be able to see what your high beam looks like accurately. It is meant to have a lot more throw down the road, so what looks like a narrow low beam pattern at that distance could be a square mile a ways down the road!

My worst spending 1600$. When my truck is loaded, I'm crying. I love to respect traffic, but this lights are to bright to blind traffic. I think the wires are a mess. I saw few times in the day time when my lights were reflected in another front car, I had one parking light on,and one of two the led band was off for few seconds. I don't recommend this lights at all. This shouldn't be street legal.

@@teambentley4223 First,I'm so sorry for your,and my purchase,but hopefully will get better. I had the same problems with turn signals. Hd revolution sent me some resistors to fix the problem. To install resistors you need to get the lights out,which I did, and resistors resolved the problem, but later I had another issue. The day lights led stripes had much different brightness, sometimes one side had more brightness than another side,some time upper led where brighter than lower. After many emails headlights sent me new lights, and again I suppose to open all front to change them,which is not easy. I asked headlights revolution if the resistors were included in the new lights ,and they said yes. I installed new headlights and after little bit, I had same issue with turn signals. Of course new resistors, new tearing down. About adjusting the lights, there is a Screw which you can lower the lights. 3 turns maximum. I lowered them on maximum, but when I tow something or where I'm loaded,I'm blinding traffic so bad. If I'm not loaded they are okay. When I'm loaded, I'm driving on parking lights only, isn't possible to drive on lower beam ,which is less visibility than original halogen lights. Right now my left turn signal doesn't work 😡. I already removed all my truck front about 4 times and looks like I will need to do it more😡. I need to work with my truck not to stay and fix it. Worst buy ever for me. I paid money to keep me busy always. Sorry for my English, hopefully you will understand me. We should litigate Morimoto, I can't get my money back. I want to return lights, but I can't.

Those Morimoto headlights are a premium headlight, they are priced similarily to some OEM LED Headlights on the market, but are still much cheaper than those options!
