7:17"BTG Porsche 991.2 GT3RS Nordschleife//.

Broke my previous personal best by 4 seconds, all because of using the new Cup 2 R tyres.
The new Cup 2 R have so much more grip compared to the N2 that I could attack corners at speeds I haven't done before. The confidence they give are also a big plus. They make to car much more stable.
Big downside is that they seems to not last long. Let's see how many laps they will last.
Car is a stock Porsche 991.2 GT3RS with 520hp, max. downforce setting. Stock alignment and suspension setup.

It’s a standard Bridge To Gantry timing because during Tourist Drives you can not take the main straight because of the entrance & exit of the track. The difference is about 20-25 sec. Everybody uses this timing when not driving the whole track. Nobody cheating here mate. Google BTG ;)

And it's also been vibrating since he posted the very first videos with his brand new GT3 RS so that's also highly unlikely that the rotors are wraped or were wraped back then. I don't know. I've been wondering what that is since the beginning ahah

@@GreyFox888 You'd be surprised how quickly brake rotors warp. My 2 piece bell and rotors warped after one track day and they are good quality AP Racing. But it was the combination of different brake pads. But easy enough to have the rotors skimmed ever so slightly. Otherwise, it could just be tracking or poorly balanced wheels with new tyres.

Alan Williams Yeah it can happen but on Porsche it seems to not be the case. I had several Porsche and currently track my GT4 with stock brakes (steel rotors and stock pads), they’re very endurant so we can at least expect the same from a GT3 RS .2 ahah. Let’s say they do not wrap that easily. Especially since the Nordschleife is not really harsh on brakes and tires compared to a regular track such as the F1 GP layout at the same location so I don’t think this is it. I might be wrong though. You’re statement is still correct. Just adding my own experience with Porsche and the Nordschleife 😁

5:19 min is the absolute best time ever with a Porsche 919 Hybrid Lmp1 and Timo Bernhard has been the driver which made it possible. That's nearly 2 minutes faster and a total other league because with that 919 Hybrid you're not allowed to drive on regular public streets. Das sind nicht nur 30 Sekunden schneller. Der GT2RS ist die volle Runde in 6:40 gefahren. Das sind nochmals rund 25 Sekunden Differenz. Er ist also über 50 Sekunden schneller gewesen.

Yep, stiffest one. Indeed the car is a bit unstable under heavy braking. The stock balance and alignment of the car is not perfect. Will be fixed soon by the experts @ Manthey Racing (Porsche Motorsport) Greets.

Good drive but not great because you did overdrive it a bit. With better entrance braking your oversteer will go away and you wont have to scrub of all that speed in those three particular corners.
