7:20 is ten seconds off the pace.... the fastest someone on KZbin has gotten is 5 seconds off the pace... I don't think any is sweating plus the track owners seem to have done everything to prevent fast laps... like the speed bump at the start of this video...

@@bloodspartan300 10 or 5 seconds isn’t off the pace - Andy is/was capable of under 7 minutes. Paul, in my opinion, is the biggest threat to the record time currently. That ‘speed bump’ means fuck all. You’d know that if you rode there. Incredible is that Andy did his time on basically a stock R1, modern bikes and tyres are far more capable - but riders aren’t!

Paul- Andy Carlile's 7:10 BTG lap was during Touristenfahrten, just like your attempts, but Touristenfahrten traffic is unpredictable. Do you think you can find 10+ seconds in reasonable safety? Do you have a slipper clutch? Do you have a quick shifter for upshifts? Do you have an auto-blipper for downshifts? Are you using a stock engine and pump fuel? Would more horsepower help on the uphills? Tires are better now- what tires do you use? Are you using tire warmers? Are you using a new tire for every record attempt? Are you using a TTX shock and gas pressurized fork? Who does your suspension? I wish you the best on your endeavor.

Yeah the guy who commented about chatter under braking he's absolutely spot-on. I think you need some work on the front end. If can you get that chatter under control you'll have much more grip and confidence in the front end which will allow you to push slightly harder through the corners 👍

Hallo Was ist denn mit deiner Antihopping Kupplung, oder ist dasnoch ne K3? Glaub nicht oder? Is schon so lange das ich einehatte. Wir sind damals mit der Breidscheider Gruppe immer so gefahren, allerdings hatte ich ab der K3 ne Antihopping Kupplung drin und an der K1/2 immer Zwischengas beim Runterschalten gegeben. Das hat das stempelnde Hr zu 99% eleminiert. Das trainier dir mal an, dann bist du in den Bremszonen noch deutlich sicherer unterwegs... Wir sind damals an den We etwa 3 bis 3 1/2 Tankfüllungen/Tag gefahren und pro Tf warens glaub etwa 7Runden. Immer am anschlag, da hat man mal merkt wo es überall "Muskeln" gibt:D Das sind jetzt schon unglaubliche 20 Jahre her. Jahreskarte damals, erst 650, dann 700eier. Meine K1 hatte ich an einem Samstag nach einem VLN Lauf in der Röhre des Fuchses versenkt, war ziemlich Krumm der Eimer und am Ass hatte ich ne Riesen Brandblase ;) Sonst nix. Lag Kühlmittel von nem Ford Sierra Cosworth glaub ich sogar der etwas weiter Richtung Adenauer Forst stand. Leider hatten wir damals noch keine Smartphones um alles aufzuzeichnen und somit keine Fahraufnahmen. Der einzige der damals gefilmt hat war glaub ich der Guido Schnei....;) War ne geile Zeit, aber leider gabs Sonntags auch sehr oft sehr schwere Unfälle.. Und am 2. Zugang Breidscheid bei Hans ist ja auch nix mehr los wie damals...soweit ich weiss. Also, Zwischengas üben und sitzen bleiben, dann kommt ne 7.05 BTG ;)

Tolle Runde ! Hast du irgendetwas in Richtung Bremsen gemacht oder fährste die Gixxer komplett original ? Will nächste Saison mit meiner K3 auch mal auf den Ring, finde aber die Bremse nicht so geil und habe die Befürchtung, dass der Druckpunkt merklich wandern könnte ... Du hast kein ABS na ?

Auf der Nordschleife ist das Bremsenthema nicht so akut...... Wenn Du auf der GP-Strecke oder sonstigen "echten" Rennstrecke fährst, wirst Du da eher Probleme kriegen. Ich kenne das Thema schon. Eine Bremse die auf der Nordschleife trotz flotter Gangart (ca. 8:00 BTG) tadellos funktioniert, kann auf der GP-Strecke gnadenlos eingehen....
