Why did you go with the Purifi instead of their NCOREx? I have an A1H and was about to pull the trigger an a buckeye Hypex NCOREx 3 channel but saw the purifi amp and got confused which one to get.

@@jmethane4810 Honestly, you won't notice a difference. I had an opportunity to buy the Purifi for the same price as the Hypex, so I went with that. You'd be just fine with the NCORE. Reach out to Dylan at Buckeye, he's very responsive and honest about what he thinks you should get based on your setup. He'll probably tell you to get the cheaper one.

Great camera work in this vid! Awesome new setup. I've never had a auto-calibration give me adequate bass. So I've always just redone the levels and EQ (then levels again after EQ) the way I did at real theaters which is probably not ideal for home stuff but I like it. My main issue is that the EQs at home are usually much more limited, usually something like 10 bands compared to the 31 it should be.

Thanks for showing denon some love I'll have one in my endgame it can do 9.4.8 speaker configuration and has next gen gaming features,dtsx pro plus Dirac upgradable and much more it's the best in my humble opinion sorry anthem and audio control nad ect. Last but not least internal amplification if you want to run a ton of small speakers without using seperates but I'll be putting it in pre amp mode and using external amplification

The A1H would be my ultimate receiver i reckon, i have the 6700H in preamp mode with two Tonewinner AD-7300PA+ amps running my 7.1.6 setup, i do have a speaker installed for VoG but i need to find a solution to allow me to hook that up for a preset two layout.

Near OLED quality on a screen thats not huge? Why not save nearly $20K (projo + screen) and just get an 80”-class OLED? Or maybe swap it out for an 85” Bravia 9? That could get you a matching big sub and proper acoustic treatment.

hi im thinkin of in the future, to upgrade my avr.. and ive mostly looked at everything else than denon! because ive had a denon avr before, and really thougth it was crap.. it was weak sounding, and didt not make any good feeling in my body... but its like 13years ago now... would you really say, that denon is up on their game?? i seen more and more use them, over marantz or onkyo.. but in my mind, its still hard to forget the exsperience with the denon.. greatings michael

Hi Shane. I have the X8500HA and would like to know how it compares to the A1H you just reviewed. I chose this receiver for its tech and all the legacy connections vs the A1H having only HDMI connections. I have every speaker possible connected. 7.1.6 for Dolby, Dts, Imax and Auro 3D. The Auro, I use center front and center height vs two front height, two ceiling height and two rear height for the other decoding. All my speakers are B&Ws and the sub is a JL audio F212. I love this setup that has took me years to put together. I enjoy watching you videos and keep up the good work!

I always had to increase my LFE for my subs with Dirac, but I just upgraded to a processor with ARC Genesis, and the bass is just outstanding, plus 4 independent subwoofer calibration..but I only have 2 subs for now.

How did the REL 1205's and the Rythmik's pair and integrate together? I actually have 2 of those REL's as well and have been looking for something that goes deeper without having to completely ditch the REL's. I was also look at the Rythmiks, maybe the E15 ones.

That size of theater is similar to the size my theater will be with 3 rows, etc. How do you feel the size & length vs sound is? Dirac is a web-based calibration tool that’s built into compatible receiver/processors and has different levels of capabilities depending on the version. The version with bass control is currently the 2nd highest tier.

How is the bass.nulls? I have a room at woth similar dimensions and the middle of the room is completely dead. Near walls and corners i have extra heavy bass. Ive moved the subs, but at the listening positions i have little to no bass. Because of the furniture and room shape the middle is the main listening positions so its hard to move.

Funny that you have the R7t paired with the rel 1205mk2... I have been running the R7ts with dual rel 1205mk2 for most of 2023 and they will be staying for 2024 as well. The rels and perlistens works very well together. One of my favorite combos so far.
