When the current state is 01(i.e25cents) and the input is quarter, why is the ouput (dispense) 0?when we can dispense a bottle and give change (neglecting that the machine will have extra 25 cents)

Dispense Kmap resolution is incorrect. You could have grouped the 1 (at 1010) with X (at 1011). This would have eliminated Q0_curr from expression.

where is the don't care come from? it is all 0 and 1 on the state transition table~~~

Xs are for state encoding 11 (Q1_cur,Q0_cur). Since those state do not exist, these are X. He did not show them explicitly in state transition table though but it is implied.

I dont understand how did you fill q1_next, q0_next , dispense and change in state encoding. Please explain sir this is the only part I couldnt understand.
