Josh's first customer taught himself a hard lesson. Don't buy a Seamaster (great watch) at full list if you really want a Rolex. He just threw £2K down a hole . Great show guys.

“I don’t get paid until Friday”, shouldn’t be buying a 10k plus watch then mate. Bad financial mindset if you waiting on a pay cheque to pay for a watch. Any purchase should represent max 10% of your liquid cash.

The coffee is ready. The cushions on the chair are installed. The television is on. Sunday shines in all its glory. I'm ready for my traditional episode of Watchtrader & Co! The ever so shiny Watches wear their tuxedos and ball gowns for the occasion. The walls of the cozy store we all love shine in all their hushed splendor. Let the show begin! And what a start! Goodness Gracious! I refuse to believe what my eyes see! Hendo-the-Wise with a ponytail! The King's court is in a swoon! The fashion of the whole Kingdom has just been redefined! It's touching how the honesty of this gentle giant, always so courteous, patient, erudite and good-natured, pierces the screen. I even shed a tear in my coffee because of the story about his daddy's watch. Darn it! It was good coffee... Anyway, I'm glad I had my dose of Josh and Jack but I admit that I miss Jon and Stuart. You are so connected to each other that a Sunday without one of you just isn't the same. Oh well, time flies so fast: the show is already over. All I have left to do now is hum your delicious theme music until next weekend while wondering why aren't there more timepieces on sale with a purple dial, as seen at 10:30. I can already imagine a splendid Rolex purple dial datejust 41, fluted bezel on a jubilee strap. The kind of Timepiece that even Prince, up there on his divine purplish cloud, couldn't refuse. Now guess what it could be called... You only have one choice... A hint: the color, Prince's favorite, is in one of his songs...

You are in a lot of watch channels. You always have good comments. Thanks for your contributions.
@magicmike71982 жыл бұрын
@@curtistignor3966 Thank you, my friend. That was nice of you to write. Although my contribution is very modest, I am nevertheless a fanatic of Watchtrader & Co and CRM Jewelers who stole my heart and soul. The family values of these two companies make them stand out from the competition, in my humble opinion. I now reserve my (too long) comments only for both of them. I feel like I'm cheating on them if I write on other channels... So i have stopped. They both set the standard as far as I'm concerned. My words are worth what they are worth but they come from the bottom of my heart. Long live Hendo and Carlos!

Hey Mike, it sounds like you had a very cosy Sunday evening. Another comment in a class of it's own. Thank you for sharing your kind words about the channel. We hope you're keeping well over in Montreal
@magicmike71982 жыл бұрын
@@Watchtrader My evening was cozy indeed. As comfortable as the atmosphere that emanates from your wonderful store we love so much. A store that, when you think about it, is a character in its own right. A kind of silent partner to whom we should find a nickname: The Shire, Tourbillon County, Newcastles End, The Den of watches... Sorry about that. Was I speaking out loud? I'm gonna go back to sleep now. It's the middle of the night, here in Montreal :)

My only complaint, I’m enjoying the episode so much I don’t want it to end! Another corker episode, I loved the part with the gent and his heirloom Omega. For me the most valuable watch in the world is the one with an emotional connection. I have two Omegas from that period, a 1948 bumper with the exposed bumper springs and from my time living in Canada a star watch case made in Canada cross hair dialed example with the 12-3-6-9 dial. Back then Omega got around the restrictive North American import rules by sending just the complete movement and dial to their importer where the Canadian or U.S. made case was then added. That way they dodged the punitive whole watch import costs! I also have an even older Omega pocket watch that has a jeweler dial from Manitoba that has an Omega movement. Back then this was a common practice. Now I live in Austria I’m saving for a Habring so I can add an Austrian made watch to my collection. I have an English made Smiths as I’m English, four American made watches from my short time living in LA ( including an Hamilton LED watch that was one of the actual prop watches worn by Telly Savalas on Kojak) the two Canadian cased Omegas from my 16 years living in Canada and my Grand Seiko from my short time living in Japan so that’s partly my theme to my watch collection! I love the PAM the gent ended up with. I reckon it would look stunning on a tan small scaled croc or gator strap as well. I hope the lady ended up with the Patek, it looked stunning on her wrist! I hope you all have a profitable and fun week ahead chaps😊
