I'm living in Georgia and always remembering how much parkland the area has. Between CVNP and the Metro Parks. The variety and places you can go and see are almost endless.

Yes, Ledges the best place in CVNP I would also add Brandywine falls to the list. The towpath is awesome. I visited Hocking hills near east of Columbus last weekend. It has better camping and log houses compared to this national park.

Hi Sunny! Yes I hope the park will develop another campground in place of the old stanford house site they used to have.

@@user-zf1go1lp7m Also , this NP should not allow construction of houses in the middle of the park. When you drive around, one doesn't get a feeling of driving in protected area.

We were hoping to take train up the ride back is the paved so not to mountain bike not a really experienced riders but I really want to do it then stop and stay for the night then finish the ride out can you help ?

Hi Edie, if you catch the train at Rockside Station, you can ride to Botzum and get off with your bikes. Then ride to Peninsula if you'd like. There's camping at Heritage Farms there. You could stay the night and continue to bike the next day...

So I'm a hiking newbie how does one go about reading and planning the 50 mile trek in the CNVP?
@user-zf1go1lp7m3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike! A 50-mile hike can be draining as you might imagine. Here's the map I made for reference, though you can make variations to make the hike best for you. I think Appalachian Outfitters (in the national park) is a good store to talk with their staff. They are very experienced. I would recommend starting small, for instance the CVNP hiking challenge lists their trails and you can pick them one at a time.
