I'm just glad, even when you fail, you still make it a video. You should know by now we all like seeing your bee keeping, but also your personal life and activities you do. I personally find the bee keeping super exciting and interesting!

Queens that come in packages are supposed to be mated already. You should wait until you have 8 frames drawn out before you and a second box. Did you feed your bees 1:1 sugar syrup for the first 4 weeks or until they stopped taking it?
@msack69046 жыл бұрын
I was going to post same thing, queens should have been mated, no need to fly out. 8 full frames before adding another box. I feed a 2 or 3 to 1 sugar to water, the bees utilize it better than just 1:1.

It's all that plastic putting them off. Wait until it gets really hot and the plastic starts breakibg down - like a toxic new car smell to sensitive bees. Go back to natural timber.

Hey Taras, love the bee videos. This is something me and my husband have talked about doing but we know nothing about. Hopefully someday we can getting our own hives started. You videos are a help. You show the realness of it. Try and fail and succeed. The russian accent is a plus as well. Keep plugging.

What keeps happening to your queens are they being rejected? This isn't the first time they went missing. Would it be better to start a brand new hive if they keep getting rejected?
@one-wingedangel51076 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t that add more expenses on Taras' wallet? And the hive itself isn’t the problem, it’s just the queen.

the queen that came with the packages should already being mated!!! they also need sugar water along with pollen patty.

Did you offer them any sugar water? With all the rain they couldn't get any nectar/ Carbohydrates. The queens should have been mated. Nucs come with problems too.
@Labeeman6 жыл бұрын
When introducing Queens in a hive you need to leave her caged up for 3 day minimum then hand release her or un plug the candy end for the workers to release her. Just uncovering the candy will release her too soon and the bees will ball her.
