From a seasoned firearms user the best option here is the G2c. If you want a 22lr revolver buy a Ruger wrangler if you want a pocket carry the LCP is ok. In your search for a good 38 stub nose Smith or Ruger. Also if you want a boat gun or tool chest cheap truck gun buy the high point. If you are a human don’t buy highpoint because you breath air that everyone else must.

The Taurus G2C was my first handgun. I had no knowledge and they got me for 439 when that gun goes for the price shown. I was pissed!!

Yeah man, unfortunately. I have 2 and I got the pair for 5 hundred. On the upside though they are really really good guns and it will last you a very long time if you take care of them. I've had mine for a while and I've never had a single malfunction out of either one.

Says 7 guns under$200, yet only one was actually under $200. Then you have to include taxes in top, still only one would be under that. A couple of the guns shown are not reliable at all like they say. Remember, you get what you pay for. If you can't afford a good decent gun or rifle then keep saving your money until you can.

Cons on Ruger LCP and most other micro 380 pocket pistols: people absolutely and universally hate to shoot them due to snappy recoil! Also, where is the Kel-Tec P17? It's light, accurate, reliable, easy to rack, not ammo picky, 16 +1 capacity, inexpensive and comes with 3 mags. It is a true bargain and people love the P17!

I have a 9mm and 380 Hi Point....heavy, ugly....but most reliable pistols I ever had...and I've owned many. Hi Point shoots any ammo I feed it.

Most people have never shot one are ones who say they're not reliable. My wife bought me one in 1995, it eats any ammo you put in it even aluminum cases and has never jammed.

I don't own one but have friends that do. They all seem to love the ugly things, and they do shoot well. I have shot them, and they do seem to be accurate. They are basically an oversized Jennings .22. I do have one of those that I paid $39.95 for. I know that little POS has had thousands of rounds put through it with no hiccups. The sights are mere nubs, but I can chase a can around pretty well at 20 yards. My grandkids call it "Cricket." Back to the Hi-Point. For someone that just doesn't have the funds and needs protection, the Hi-point does function well.
