An awesome small shotgun we never got was the Taurus Judge XXVIII, which had a 28 gauge chambering that could have fired off 19 #4 pellets per shot, or 95 in all, and it was a revolver. Unrelated, if you can't handle the 12, Mossberg makes a 20 ga. Shockwave. Used with #3 shot, that's 20 pellets, same payload weight as a 12 ga. 00 buck round and a lot more holes. Recoil is pretty manageable, too.

Ive always liked "sawed off" shotguns or short barell shottys, regular shotguns are kinda boring to me....they are probably the most versatile weapons out there though. I have a maverick 88 sawed off to 18 and i cut the stock down to a pistol grip which is still the best type of pistol grip imo. I gave it a nice camo paint job and rigged up a Romanian leather AK sling on it...thats what i use for home defense right now

This report was very polished and well presented. However, I am curious as to why your selections were limited to pump action shotguns and nothing magazine fed. I own 2 semi-auto 12ga. bullpup shotguns that are magazine fed and will accommodate a 20-round drum magazine as well as other magazines. Those who are not trained or barley trained may run into stovepipe or other jamming related issues attempting to use a pump action shotgun during a crisis situation. There are little to no issues with a mag fed 12ga. semi-automatic shotgun. Furthermore, you only showed 3 quick examples of folks firing the 12ga. with bird's head stock even though you made it a point to exhibit the examples with the bird's head stock. The result of this video is confusing and missed the mark.

Where is the bullpups? I got two bullpups and there is nothing better for home defence. Takes ten round mags, can be shoulder/aim fired and is about the same length as a shockwave. And they are semi auto. No pumping.

That little bird head grip looks like it will make the recoil even worse, especially since it's not being supported by my body. Those grips just seem like a fad that will go away.... hopefully.
