After much research and testing out on studio monitors and Beyer Dynamic 770's pros, the SE RF Space was best overall. But it's up there @ $199.

We had a studio rebuild and used a framework with blankets hung over it and a mic and light. Worked great. This is not rocket science.

Try not to cheap out here. You want asolid, stable, sturdy mic stand that can handle the weight of anything you place upon it without tipping. The last thing you want is for your mics to move or fall and break because you didnt get a quality stand or mount for it

The hard part of getting my Se Isolation shield to not fall forward from being TOO HEAVY !!! So now searching for a real Heavy Duty mic stand that can handle the weight. Anyone have any suggestions ?? Thanks Everyone

Thank you. Just would love to know how much they work for echo off walls behind? (that I can't soften as it's a meeting room in a cowork space). Thanks!

Try two pieces of 2 foot square pro soundproof material taped into the corner at head height, then stand in front of it and put the mic in front of you facing into the room. any sound hitting the corner will be absorbed and it works well.

After listening test on another channel, the SE RF Space and a eyeball looking thing that sucked! And the Aston Halo, the SE sounded best all around, I'm glad because the Halo looks like a giant face mask and I never wanna see one again, it don't go over well with me!

What Isolation Shields do not take into consideration, is sufficient space to hold copy.

Can these shields help absorb the sound that I am making, so that other rooms in the house do not hear me speaking?
@soundproofguide4 жыл бұрын
Well that would all depend on the ones you would get. The one that might be best for something like that would be the box shield. This might work if you have a bit of your face and mouth inside the opening of the box. It will not however completely drown out the sound of your voice but it will a little bit.

Indeed. But that would require that they actually get the things and test them properly... No reason for this to be a video, a web page would be better.

They are all rubbish. What about reverberation from behind? Not to mention reading your copy, either paper or digital. Acoustic tiles are much better. Tried a few of these and they were all rubbish. Save your cash, buy as many acoustic tiles as you would need...
@ktnow883 жыл бұрын
Yes I would have liked him to mention if they help for reverberation from behind.
