After years of receiving Botox for my “11’s”, it stopped working. Increasing units and/or frequency of treatments made no difference. I have been getting Dysport for the last 2 years and I’m very pleased. I don’t find it to be much cheaper than Botox, so I am basing my satisfaction on results. I hope I don’t build up immunity before another product is developed and released 🤨

Yes! Dysport has been my Go-To ever since I started injectables about eight years ago. I tried Botox first and it wore off in two months. The nurse suggested I try Dysport instead and lo and behold it lasted at least three months sometimes longer. I know everybody’s body chemistry is different but this is a huge win-win for me. Cheaper and lasts longer! Thanks to Dysport I can still wear my hair without bangs. Great informative video!!!

Love it! Longer lasting IMO as well. Also, anyone that uses methotrexate for RA, Botox will not have the full effect but somehow, Dysport does! Remember that your daily Rx’s can affect your face and how those injectables work and how long they last!

Same here in Greece. Cheap at the pharmacy. US pharma makes big $ on EVERYTHING.
@neftalidiaz41894 жыл бұрын
I think it has to do with how people sue companies over everything in US. Every medicine you put on your body or in it has side effects and therefore people will sue if they feel the companies selling/distributing/promoting didn't inform them. RetinA is bad for pregnant women. They recently allowed differin over the counter only because it hasn't shown to have too many harmful adverse effects.
@Valerielaquidara4 жыл бұрын
I work for a pharmaceutical company in the US and there are 3 major factors that contribute to our high drug prices. One, we have extremely strict guidelines with the FDA. We are only allowed to purchase most products for manufacturing and testing from certain companies and those companies charge an extraordinary amount of money. I'll give you a recent example we ran into at work. We needed a new bulb for a piece of equipment, from the approved companies we can purchase from this single bulb costs $130, the same exact bulb is on Amazon for less than $5, but Amazon is not an approved vendor. Two, we require an inordinate amount of release and stability testing. It is very expensive to make the drug products and then we can't sell typically about 20% of what we make because we have to reserve it for testing. An example of this is we have drug products that cost anywhere from a few hundred to over 1k per vial. One single test that we perform uses 20 of these drug product vials. For this particular test we never even open the vial as it's a visual inspection only. This test is performed at least every 3 months for the 48 month shelf life, on every single lot. The third major reason is we do the research and development of drug products here in the US for a very large number of the world's pharmaceuticals. This development process can take around 20 years and cost up to hundreds of millions of dollars. We can only keep the patent for 10 years so 20 years to develop and 10 years to make the money back before the patent is released and other companies take all the work that was already done and make a cheap generic form. It's unfortunate for those that need pres ription medications, particularly before the patent has run out, but ultimately it's the strict regulations here that cause our prices to be so high.

I told her that my friend had IPL but instead of improving her skin, it went worse. She told me IPL is not a good procedure because unlike lasers, IPL can not be controlled so the light scatters.

Since following Dermatologists on YT, I stopped considering these expensive cosmeceuticals and went for Retin-A. I literally went in on an atypically bad skin day and got diagnosed with acne and now I pay a few dollars with it. I recommend the cream though. I started with gel and it made my skin flake so bad. The lowest dose of the cream has been fine and I have thin dry sensitive skin. My Pharmacist knew what I was up to though. He was like this is your first tube for you, for acne? Uh huh.

Felix Qt I do watch her! And I follow her advice. I think the issue with the gel wasn’t the actual active ingredient. It’s that the “gel” solution is basically rubbing alcohol and it was too drying even with the moisturizer. The cream has been much better.

I am a man who had Ultherapy, I had great results and plan on another very soon. It definitely worked for me and lifted my face. It is definitely provides good bang for your buck without a face lift. My Dr. says results depend on the amount of facial sagging you have. It's best to start before the face has fallen too far, if it hasn't it keeps your face up and much tighter. I'm in my mid 50's and my face has little sagging because of Ultherapy.

Regarding Upper Blepharoplasty - PLEASE GO TO A WELL RESPECTED PLASTIC SURGEON FOR THIS!!! My dad has always had “very heavy eyelids”, which at 70 had begun to affect his vision. He was instructed by his eye doctor this surgery was needed to help his vision, which was true. But, same eye doctor told my dad it was no big deal and that he could perform it, as he did this very procedure all the time. I IMMEDIATELY SAID, “DAD - YOU WANT A PLASTIC SURGEON! IF HE’S A JUST AN EYE DOCTOR WHO’S ABLE TO PERFORM SURGERY? IF HE’S NOT CERTIFIED TO PERFORM PLASTIC SURGERY, HE IS NOT THE BEST CHOICE!!! PLEASE JUST CONSULT WITH SOME PLASTIC SURGEONS TO GET THEIR OPINIONS SO YOU’LL BE INFORMED!!!” Being of the generation who often take doctors at their word? Although my mom agreed with me and talked to him, our advice fell on deaf ears! Dad was adamant the eye doc a good man who wouldn’t attempt to do this if he wasn’t capable! Sadly, mom and I were correct! The outcome - eyelids weren’t close to looking symmetrical, with the difference being quite obvious as areas of the “lift” were not close to being done evenly! The worst were the outer corners of each eye beimg stitched too tightly and dad’s never been a vain man, but he was greatly upset over how he looked! He was angry, refused to consult a plastic surgeon ASAP I knew just on the hopes at least some was repairable! He didn’t want to undergo “the d*mn surgery””! For the 1st time in my life (I was 33 then) - I saw my dad so unhappy over his looks, feeling truly embarrassed with his appearance! 11 years later insult was added to injury! Now 81, he scheduled an appt with his wonderful eye doctor of the past decade for issues with his peripheral vision. Eye doc found the site of the surgery was affected by natural skin movement of the aging process. The surgery to help him see better was now severely affecting his peripheral vision, and again surgery was the only option to fix it! Luckily, my dad’s still very active at his age and he’s able to drive. Driving is crucial to both his feeling of independence and his desire to be able to care dor my mom if anything were to happen to her! His eye doctor referred him to very well respected surgeon who specializes in “Oculofacial and Reconstructive Surgery” as well as “Orbital and Reconstructive Surgery”. He impressed us at the consultation with his honesty, explaining his concerns about thd 1st surgery weren’t only dad’s unhappiness with the cosmetic result, but that it stemmed from what we’d said...the doctor had removed far too much excess skin! And as we age our skin changes, so despite dad’s skin looking great for 81? There’s a lot of difference in the skin’s elasticity even from 70 to 81, but he knew surgery was the 1 way to restore his peripheral vision! But, with a small amount of skin left to work with, achieving the desired cosmetic and optimal visual outcome wouldn’t be easy! I was happy he made no claims that he could perform miracles, but we could trust he’d do all he possibly could to improve his vision and cosmetic appearance! The surgery was last Friday. After the swelling went down, and given what dad’s eyes had looked like before, we feel the surgeon kept his promise and the outcome was better than we hoped! SO, DESPITE THE REASON YOU MAY WANT THIS PROCEDURE? WHETHER IT’S COSMETIC OR IMPAIRED VISION...PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS MY DAD! CONSULT WITH A FEW PLASTIC SURGEONS WHO ROUTINELY DO THESE PROCEDURES! IF VISION IS THE REASON? ADD CONSULTS WITH SPECIALISTS IN OCULOFACIAL/ORBITAL RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY! DON’T FIND OUT TOO LATE IF YOUR CASE WARRANTS SUCH EXPERTISE! ASK PEOPLE YOU KNOW ABOUT PLASTIC SURGEONS IN YOUR AREA. YOU’LL GET QUICK RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THOSE WHO HAD POSITIVE EXPERIENCES - AND IF PEOPLE CONTINUE TO MENTION THE SAME DOC? CALL THEIR OFFICE TO SEE WHICH SURGERIES THEY’D SAY THEY SPECIALIZE IN!!! BUT - KEEP IN MIND BAD EXPERIENCES ARE SHARED FAST TOO! WHEN YOU HEAR OF ONE - ASK HOW LONG AGO THE PROCEDURE WAS DONE? SO MANY MEDICAL AND SURGICAL ADVANCEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN WHAT MAY SEEM LIKE A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME!!! ALSO, ASK WHAT TYPE OF PROCEDURE WAS DONE AS ONE DOCTOR MAY BE A GREAT FIT FOR SOME PEOPLE, BUT NOT OTHERS! SAME HOLDS TRUE FOR TYPES OF PROCEDURES, OR EVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE PROCEDURE!!

Do u really think it could be good to poke tiny, or any holes in your face? Harming the skin cannot be a good thing.

@@misottovoce I'm not. I know the theory behind it, aNd chem peeling . I also know how dangerous sunburn is. They have nearly the same affect.

@@shellanon4212 I was referring only to the micro needling. Don't see how you are bringing sunburn and chem peels into this. All 3 completely different things.

I'm confused. I just saw a video by Dr. Youn on those Utrasound and radiofrequency heat treatments working to tighten skin without a face-lift. It was 2 years old. Now, this video from 4 years ago says they are no good. Which is it?

What do you think about "Facetite?" I watched a video and it looked really aggressive for not a lot of results.
