Enjoying your videos, would love to have maybe title cards or some moments of segue between the games, kinda jarring (like the transition from Socks to Sid Meier) but good channel, looking forward to more

You know, it’s funny, I was trying a minimal approach to be quicker this time, and watching it in editing, I don’t think it worked. You’re right and will do for the future. Thanks for the suggestion!

Super under appreciated channel. It’s a tragedy that you only have 14k subs. Love your videos

I have The SNES ROM Socks the Cat. It is one strange game.

Regarding “Socks the cat”, for the first 30-60 days of a presidency, the media traditionally writes “puff pieces” about the “presidential family” and has a gentleman’s agreement to softball the president for a while until they start criticizing them. This is when they wrote about the presidents pets and the children and all that nonsense. Socks was a subject of these pieces, which is why he was a national figure for a short while. I think they had quite a bit of merchandise spun up around him.

First and foremost, your videos are always fantastic, and this one is no different. So, thank you for rocking! At any rate, I remember getting Star Fox when it was current and being absolutely floored by it. The graphics, music, voice work, and gameplay were straight next level. Having said that, you might think I was over the moon when Nintendo announced Star Fox 2 was getting released on the Snes Mini, and I was. Unfortunately, I did not care for Star Fox 2 at all. It did not have the same intensity as the first game. To be honest, most of the game feels like a giant gimmick. It felt like all I was doing was playing mini games, and I really don't like that at all.

N64 era was my least favorite video game time. The developers were pushing 3d graphics but the consoles just couldn't do it. We left 2D era right when resolution made it beautiful and went to that 3D era that was blocky and ugly. You may like N64 games but you got to admit, 3D art at the time wasn't near the experience of 2D art

Exactly! Glad I’m not the only one who believed this. I hated the graphics on the N64

The SNES should have had two Zelda games, two good Mario games, two Metroids, and we should have been given Final Fantasy 5. Also the Dragon Warriors.

Yoshi's Island can be callled a Mario game. Also the remake of NES ones. I am from Europe and our first FF game was 7

Absolutely FFV is the best pixel Final Fantasy imo

@@Toomanian it was the first game I emulated after Mega Man games and installed a romhack on (translation). I prefer 6 though. Not too long after, they released an English version for the PS1 ( loading times were awful)

These are something I never knew about. Good job. Also I was still stinged that Star Fox 2 got cancelled and in my opinion, they only canned it because Nintendo didn't want to feel inferior compared to the PS1 and Sega Saturn. The N64 wouldn't come until 1996 but that would have been awesome to see if we did get it. Yes, I went through Star Fox 2 and the game was something else. On it's own merit, it was awesome. It felt like a real time flight game where you really need to micromanage. Believe me, I know. Expert is not a joke especially when you want to get the perfect score and man, when it's all said and done... it feels awesome.

Star fox 2 was barely a demo for a broken and unplayable clone of SF1. Doesn't even deserve a mention

The Mario Factory game would have obliterated SG, its audio flaws and limitations nothwithstanding*... *So, I already think the SNES was better(having owned the SG, as well), because the SNES had quality 3D support(hard to believe they did not implement this element in the sports side), could do big clear graphics, as well, and had complete stereo audio. However, adding a Mario generator would have been an explosive development for the SNES...

The idea in scope for mario factory sounds a lot like game builder garage.

LOL "Launched by ocean software, a relatively experienced developer" That's my QOTD! Quite experienced. Experienced at making terrible games.

I am curious about mario factory wich is also a much better name for such type of game. Starfox 2 should,ve been released anyway. But i apart from that i don’t care about those other games and i also think that those other games would,ve make much sense anyway.
