Hi Heather, I never comment on KZbin. In fact, I had to learn to subscribe so I could just comment on your truly wonderful and inspiring videos. I have been a lapsed Catholic for many years but I am returning to the Church now. I wanted you to know that I've watched many of your videos and the first one I did watch was the one where you created a home altar. It excited me so much that I created my own and I must say it has enriched my spiritual life - taking baby steps though. I went to Catholic Mass last Sunday and I feel that the Holy Spirit is working within me. I just wanted to thank you so much. Great list! I would add the Come Holy Spirit Prayer. I love to say that one right before mass. It kind of preps me for the mass. And I agree, daily mass is amazing. It’s changed my life. My kids go to a Catholic School so I just pop over after drop off. No better way to start the day.

Thanks to Mother Angelica, I recently learned about the Anima Christi prayer. It's a beautiful prayer and I'm in the process of memorizing it and adding it to my regular prayer life. Of course the Rosary and Act of Contrition and the Prayer of St Michael. I'm happy that our new priest always ends mass with the Prayer of St Michael. God Bless you and your family Heather!

I'm a Catholic who has fallen away over the last 20 years. I want very much to grow my Faith again. I have found your channel and I feel like it is an answer to prayer. I am homebound due to illness, but I have a love for Jesus and The Catholic Faith and I am thirsty to renew my faith. Every day I pray: Personal pray Hail Mary Memorare to Virgin Mary St Joseph prayer Memorare to St Joseph St Michael prayer Guardian Angel prayer Divine Mercy Rosary (which includes Our Father, Glory be and other prayers). But I have to look them up because I have a really bad memory and will mix the prayers up if I don't. 🙄😞😂🤣 I guess I need to ask our Lord for better memory. LOL

I have a terrible memory.. plus when I look at the words, I pray more deeply. At a catholic org, some coworkers would poke fun at me for reading the Angelus after months of praying it together before breaking for lunch but I'd rather pray deeply than care about what others think of me🙃

Hi Heather, I agree with you that the Memorare is a beautiful prayer. I recently learned that when you say it 9 times it is known to be an “emergency” novena. Evidently St Mother Teresa prayed it this way. Go Irish ☘️

When I pray the Rosary, towards the end, I usually pray the Memorare, right after the Hail, Holy Queen (i.e., following the dialogue, "Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ").

I want to say I stumbled on your video just now and thank you for that. I am a convert from Protestant Church's (yes plural 🤷‍♀️😁) I converted in 2012 and have struggled ever since so much of my Protestant teachings and along with people in my life still Protestant kept pulling me back. I am now back in the Catholic church for good I have finally made a clean break. Saying all that was to say that even though I converted 8 years ago due to one foot out the door I have struggled to truly learn and appreciate our Catholic faith and prayers properly. At one of the local Catholic churches in town they do the rosary or divine mercy chaplet before or after mass and say the St. Michael prayer after mass. It is very beautiful and reverent. I wish they did it for the Sunday masses too.

I have always heard my Manman talking of The Angelus as in Seychelles, where I am from, long ago Catholic mass was in Latin and French. Now it's mostly in French. It's only this year that I have started saying it. I normally miss the evening one. Love your channel. Thank you and God bless.

Great list and great reminder on Spiritual Communions! I'd add the Guardian Angel prayer in the morning, evening and when driving! And Prayers before and after meals. For the Angelus, my brother in law recommends having Bell alarms play on your phone, at least at noon and 6pm. Or it can be done along side meal prayers. For kids, letting them ring bells for the Angelus, or any prayer, is fun. I like that the Angelus involves a genuflection which works nicely for kids to practice.

I came to know about spiritual communion prayer recently from opius dei and have loved it since and the other prayers you shared. I specially love the idea of mini confession and reparation/ act of contrition prayer prior to going to sleep. I hope to practice them more. We all drive a car to whatever destination life takes us, so when I get into my car, I always say the Our Lady of the Highways prayer. This is a most power prayer, and I can attest that I have been graced with averting two very serious car accidents on the freeway. I also follow that prayer with the Memorare and the St. Michael prayer. Not sure if too many people know the OL of the Highways prayer, but this should definitely be #8! 🙏🏻

I have been a Catholic since going through RCIA in 1987. Easter Vigil 1987 was in fact the first Mass I served as Altar Boy, my first Mass as a member of The Catholic Church! I was Baptized a Protestant in 1982 but after I started attending St. Joseph School in Ironton my whole family went through RCIA and became Catholic. I was an Altar Server until my graduation in 1991.

Thanks for your very good list of catholic prayers I would add to them: the "Hail Holy Queen" prayer, the "Blessed be God" prayers (14 praises) and all the Fatima prayers, but especially the "O Most Holy Trinity" 🙏🙏 🙏 as it does enormous reparation for the sins committed against the Blessed Sacrament....and is a plea for the conversion of poor sinners.

@noorsulaimani we use Latin because of it's universal nature. All Catholics in the world irrespective of what their native languages are can pray and praise God together anywhere in the world in unity and with uniformity. Anyone can follow a Catholic mass in any church of the world even he doesn't know the local language. Living languages evolve with time. Latin being a frozen ( not really DEAD)classical language stays unchanged. Some people use their native language to swear / utter obscenities. By using Latin we show how we respect/ adore God. We use a different language to communicate with God. Not because he understands only Latin. Imagine you go to church with two groups of people speaking two different languages. If mass is conducted solely or mostly in one of the two languages those speaking the other could feel that they are in a way discriminated. Latin is nobody's native language. Being familiar with Latin enables one to learn and aquire foreign languages more easily and also helps to enrich one's English vocabulary. Besides you don't have to know a lot Latin to attend Latin Mass. Just learn by heart the most frequently used ones the hail Mary. Our father. Sign of the cross,etc. English speakers can often correctly guess the meanings of most of these Latin words since English has many loan words from Latin. Till you can pray by heart use a bilingual prayer book/ order of mass.
