Leah Moon I’ve been to japa dog, marutama ramen, and snowy village (the shaved ice place) the japa dog is like 5 dollars for one, ramen is about 12 dollars for one bowl and they are quite filling, and snowy village is 11 dollars for one shaved ice bowl but they are HUGE I’m not kidding I had to share with 4 friends last time, the bowls are about the size of a basketball

Wow this video makes it look like a bourgie hell-hole. You need to get out of the downtown core. Try Skylight Diner or The Dime on commercial drive, or Bons off Broadway if you're looking for some real value. Supergreat pizza at joyce skytrain station is amazing and there are seas of cheap sushi places once you're out into east van. Kingsway in general is loaded with great food.

I’m just gonna be honest I’ve been to poki and... To me it taste like crap or it’s just me. Japa dog tasted good though. It’s like 25 bucks for 4 hot dogs and some takoyaki I think depending on hot dogs. There is no combos that’s just what you can get with 25 dollars there. I was born in Vancouver we got a lot of good stuff here ngl. We do have a ton of cheap stuff here though for a good price these places are not one of them. It’s funny that I went to a lot of these places before I saw this video. Marutama ramen is best ramen, no cap.

for cheap food non asian food i suggest x-site grill. If you like greek, the place my family goes to a lot is My Greek Taverna, i love their roast lamb. Cockney Kings is pretty good, they have all you can eat on some weekdays, its a fish a chip place. Straight outta brooklyn isnt too bad either, thats a pizza place

Japadog is definitely not "cheap" hotdogs. If you want cheap hotdogs and stuff, anywhere else like IKEA or Costco would've been better. There's like 4 other ramen places near Marutama, and only one of them is the real CHEAP ramen (under $10), Hida Takayama. The rest of the video doesn't seem and likely is not cheap either.

I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. I'm so sorry for Canada. Canadian and Canadian Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe or the United States. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian-Indonesian or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beach. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country. I wish the respectable people of Canada would wake up

Pure bread is not cheap but so delicious. That Ramen place is actually really good. For the other spots she mention, it's just meh. There are definitely more restaurants outside of downtown which are way better. And so many Vegan restaurants that are really yummy (I'm not vegan fyi). So to people going here, go explore outside of downtown Vancouver. It's pretty easy to travel around. Main street, Commercial Drive, Kits, Richmond (has actually really good dimsum). SO SO much more.

Canada huh? I'm thinking about to Live there actually, but since I don't know almost anything about the Place except the Healthcare and it's a Cold Country.. me as a Commis Chef, could I earn enough to Live in Canada? since you guys describe the things there "Cheap" for other Countries it's not that Cheap actually.. don't want to speak about Switzerland since their Prices are way higher LOL, can someone give me some advice about Canada with the "Daily Life" and "Job" wise?

Japadogs are close to $10 can, poutine i’d say averages at $8-$10 can. For what these items are i’d say they are slightly more expensive than what most people would think but being from a suburb of Vancouver and having tried all this stuff I’d say, it’s totally worth it. Although, as many people have already said, in general Vancouver and “cheap” should not be in the same sentence.

I live in Vancouver and this is the worst list (Except the bakery, I want to try that place). Japadog is overrated. Fritz doesn't compare to La Belle Patate. This was mainly just Asian food. There's a hell of a lot more to Vancouver than just that!

China Town is cheap. Poutine is cheap. Grocery store is cheap. Fast food. Don't go to hip places... They charge alot when traveling. Go cheap.
