For those who are worried about the Bloodletter, uh, you can relax now. He tried to crawl his huge ass under my bed, and ran into the OTHER monster that hangs out down there. The one with the fangs and claws that tries to eat your feet if you sleep with them uncovered. You know the one. Anyhow, it got messy, and they kind of... ripped each other apart? The Bloodletter appears to have gotten his own blood let based on the impromptu red paint job, and the Eater of Feet's own feet, along with it's legs and arms, were scattered about the room incongruously to the location of it's body. I think the Bloodletter won, and then bled out. Apparently under-bed monsters are violently territorial. Welp, that solves problems for you guys and me both. Now if you excuse me I am gonna clean this mess up...

Maybe it’s due to the benefit of your synopsis going in a linear way that perhaps wasn’t possible when watching the movie. But it all was completely apparent and I’m not sure how others had any other interpretation or thought Maurice was real. And we all see that possum is very clearly Phillips face? Right? And isn’t the notebook that Michael is writing in the same notebook? Very good synopsis and interpretation.
