"I started reading it to find out which shelf it needed to be returned to." Yes, hello. It's me. That guy. Library books are labeled on the spine so that you know where to put them back. No librarian would start reading a book to "find out which shelf it needed to be returned to." You'd look at the label and see if it's fiction or non-fiction. If it's fiction it has the first three letters of the author's name and you put it in the appropriate section with the author's other books. If it's non-fiction you use the dewey decimal system.

One of my primary problems with creepypasta is that they too often become too fantastical too fast. A lot of them do not give someone enough time for a reader, or listener, to become fully immersed into the story/world or to create proper suspension of disbelief. Still, though, you can find wonderful gems hidden amongst them that more than makes up for the rest.
@luvhugglyido6667 Жыл бұрын
Gems Also length of fanaticism focus would be variable. ... I feel only the characters know how deep to dig or time to go back n start with base facts not fantastic ideals
@neomehollow1391 Жыл бұрын
I theorize people jump into the fantastical quickly because they worry their story will lag on and people will lose interest early but I agree. Id rather a slow burn into the supernatural world. I think that's why I like the copper tea pot so much. It's about a couple who fights over money. Their aunt gives them a tea pot and as they fight near it it develops pocket change. Long story short they go to extremes in the end to make the pot develop cash it ends with the wife's mind snapping

Interestingly the plant story isn't too far from reality in nature, there is a fungus that will essentially turn ants into puppets for the the fungi. So while there are differences, there are similarities between what happens in nature and that particular story. It wouldn't be an immpossibility that some sort of vegatation could eventually evolve to effect humanity in a similar manner. It is one of the more likely (zombie) outbreak scenarios.

@@pastelk I'll check that out and figure out if 5000$ is not enough for it to be worth it.

@@pastelk Thanks for recommending the story. It was amazing. The stories where it is not certain what is real are so good.

So in my effort to fit in, I started hanging around the “unsavory” type of people. I was doing things I honestly thought was dumb/unbecoming in order to live up to the “hood” moniker. One day, I entered a friends house, not knowing that a “real” hood dude was there. As soon as I entered the guy pointed a gun to my head and asked “who I thought I was, entering the house (a mutual friends house) unannounced”. I had heard stories about the guy so deep down I knew, if it came to it, he’d probably kill me before I got the upper hand, but I couldn’t let him know I was scared. I had a reputation to uphold. I called a mutual friends, to de-escalate the situation. The guy said “oh don’t call for help now”. Even though I was at a obvious disadvantage I had to pretend I was still in control. So I said “I’m not calling him to help me, I’m calling him to help you, cause if you don’t stop pointing that gun at me, I’ll f**k you up”! As soon as I said that the mutual friend rushed into the room to introduce/break us up 😂.

First story reminded me of "Monster House" like someone got the idea spark from that combined with real aspects of a psychological mind bender.
