I have to amend my previous statement. A trunk comes with a specific doll. That might be why the Simply Gene is not fitting. You can try taking off her shoes for a better fit. If you don't have a glass door for your self, I cover my shelves with cellophane. It works great. Remember that dust is a doll killer. Happy collecting.☺

I too have a fascination with doll trunks. I only have the Gene trunk which I bought in '96. I wish I had bought the Silkstone Barbie trunk which I have seen on eBay for double the price at $200. I think I want to attempt to make a Barbie trunk someday. I also used to own that book about Gene.

Very cool to hear that! I would love to gain the dress that Violet came with in her trunk. I would love any trunk but space does not allow it. Prob a good thing. I have done well to keep to my limits! Silkstone one is amazing and the Fashion Royalty!
