The man is a living legend! What he's accomplished in life is unmatched. To spend your entire life in a city setting surrounded by crowds of cidiots and to somehow to come out the other end humble and maintaining full manhood is truly extrordinary.

I grew up in seaside town and I feared that ocean more than any bear or wolf. As an adult I did give myself every chance to change that but my fear was so great that I had the boat driver turn around not 10 ft from the wharf 😂 Now I'm a river/pond girl myself.

Love the country out there. I can remember being a young lad living in Comox (mid 70's) and wandering in to the woods looking for bigfoot. Caused quite a disturbance with cops being called and locals about to head out looking for me when I came out of the bush just as the sun was setting. Of course, at that age being bear bait never came to mind, lol. I still think I was passed over for season 1 of Alone because during the interview I was laughing about the amount of food available in that environment. Keep em coming Greg, if you come to Ontario I'll take out you on some Crown Land adventures.

Love watching your survival adventures! Extra special to see BC again, makes me yearn to come back. I used to pick chanterelles and sell to market in Oregon ( to make enough cash to make our way back home to Canada in the 80’s) and my mentor at the time taught me to cut the stems on a slight angle and leave the core in the ground so the spores would drop and more would grow in the same patch . If I recall correctly we would return 3 days to a week later and harvest again. Please keep sharing your endeavours, after all your teaching many what is now much needed and lost real survival skill sets. Take care and stay safe out there!

Hi Greg, you are doing well, so often people think you will be successful on every challenge but Mother Nature is showing her strength. People must understand you will not always find food, get fire, have adequate shelter. That is the suck of survival. One advantage you have is your self reliance training.

As a Michigander, it was thrilling to see the sea lions, seals, porpoises, and whales. Our largest water critters are probably lake sturgeons. Your water critters are incredibly beautiful; sturgeons, not so much, but I hear they are pretty good to eat. I love you and Joe as an adventure team and I truly enjoyed this one. Hated to see it end. Kiss Finn for me. I doubt he was bored but rather mad you left him. I had to laugh, and had you abandoned your butter around me, I would have taken it, too! Much love and be safe.

Yep, some of the characters in my life are hard to find (probably because they're so popular), but when a job we don't always focus on needs doing, we can't blame them for showing up to get 'er done. Nature almost always shows up with a way of some kind, like the golden chanterelle in this video. At one time in my life, it was Buttercup Butterflies, at another Bullheads and yet another Elk. And in particular it was the numbers; multitudes of each seemingly trying to tell me something. I'm glad to be able to appreciate the work they do too!
