Hope everyone enjoys the new series!! Feels likes this journey's been 10 years in the making! 10 years since we got back from HK2NY we're setting off for Patagonia & Antarctica with a big community of friends we've built off the back of the videos. Chilean Patagonia is not just the Torres del Paine, it is much more, it is the entire southern highway, incredible landscapes taken from paradise, I invite you to do a second part for the rest of Chilean Patagonia, Chile from north to south is wonderful ❤

Chilean Patagonia is greener and is not just Torres del Dolor, it has the Southern Highway area, several national parks, it has the oldest tree in the world, it has the Araucanía Pucon area, Conguillio and Nahuelbuta Park, etc. and the glacier largest in South America in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, the Pio of ovens and diego ramírez

Wow wow wow! Patagonia is so incredibly beautiful! And you did a fantastic job showing us just how gorgeous it is there. Such a talented movie maker! Thank you 😊

You have a truly amazing talent of making random people like me feel like I’ve been on every trip with you. I started watching your videos around the time of the China, Tibet and Nepal Everest trip and I almost feel emotional seeing yourself and James on your way to Antarctica. It feels like the climax of a 10 year journey we’ve been on together. Kudos to you Karl, you’re a special film maker. Cheers 🍻
@karlwatsondocs6 ай бұрын
Cheers James! Yeah the Antarctica film really is a climax of 10 years of work on this channel 😊 although you’ve already seen how it continues since the Midnight Train to Georgia series was AFTER the Antarctica series, so the adventure aren’t stopping 😊👍

Its good to see James back on the screen. The opening scene at the same pub as in HK2NY must bring back so many memories for Karl and James. Especially with it being the starting point for James first major overseas travels.

Brilliant episode, great way to spend my Saturday evening! My Patagonia trip still is in my top 3 trips, spend three weeks exploring Bariloche, El Calefate, El Chalten, Ushuia, Puerto Williams and Puerto Natales. Missed most of Torres del Paine due to floods. Spend 4 ways waiting for the park to reopen and managed to do only one day of hiking on my last day. The Torres part was still closed, but managed to see Los Cuernos, and had similar views you had from the campsite (which was amazing imo). Can’t wait for the Antartica episodes! ❤
@constanzavicencioorellana20933 ай бұрын
Imazing trip!! One tip: You can also fly to Santiago de Chile, and from there, take a 3 hour flight to Puerto Natales with Latam Airlines, which is the closest airport to Torres del Paine.

Brilliant video Karl. it brought back great memories of traveling in Patagonia for me. I felt the same awe again as when i witnessed the mountains, glaciers and lakes in person . If you ever get the chance to go back to Patagoniai would recommend going to El Chalten, it's as stunning as Toress Del Paine. Argentina is such a great and varied country, i also loved Bariloche, and Mendoza. The food is amazing and the people are so friendly. Very jealous but it's making me want to go back so thanks!

Love the eye roll at the landing applause. One of the things that makes me cringe. I was on a KLM flight from Costa Rica 2 years ago that developed a serious problem and we had to make an emergency landing in Panama City (fire engines following down the runway and airport closed down) all very serious and dramatic. My biggest concern tho was there might be applause when landed, fortunately there wasnt!

That honestly was pretty rude. The Argentineans do that all the time, and some other places in South America. If you think about it, landing safely is a cause for celebration. How would he like it if I (American) go to England and every time they do tea time, I sneer and roll my eyes derisively? Going to unsub.
