Welcome to my Norway video (part 1) 😍
Enjoying a 7/8 days hiking & camping trip in my favourite country Norway, close to the Lysefjord. Harsh mountains, unpredictable weather and the most beautiful szenerys, enjoying in silence.

My cousin Imme is making lovely films and I was really glad that she stopped by at our place with her friend and travellcompanion here Bjørkelid where we live in Risør the white town at skagerak in the south of Norway. It was a pleasure and filled my heart.

You are crazy for driving that route, you should have gone to Hirtshals in the north west of Denmark and taken the speed ferry over to Kristiansand in Norway! But what a wonderful part of Norway to hike! :) If you are going back another time, this is a good tip: Drive to Kinsarvik and park at the Husedalen parking. From there you can go up Husedalen, passing 4 beautiful waterfalls, up to Hardangervidda where the terrain is flatter, but wonderful.

How did the Altaplex perform in windy and/or rainy weather? I am most likelt going to norway this summer with a Altaplex.
@immeontour9980
@immeontour9980 Жыл бұрын
no problems with wind.. also waterproof. But when raining a lot the condensed water from inside stuck at the innser side of the tent.. it is just a one sided tent, so after a few days of raining it will propably become very wet ;) But dries fast, if sun is out

Great video! I'm considering buying a backpack from Hyperlite Mountaingear. How did your backpack feel the first few days, when it was it heaviest on your shoulders etc? Ultralight backpacks sometimes are so slim in the straps that it hurts on your shoulders and hips.

@immeontour9980 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ralf, I understand your concerns. Well, I used before Jack Wolfskin and Tatonka and with Hyperlite Montaingear I feel most comfortable by far. It just seem to fit me and my back most, less back pain and so on. After several days of hiking I feel some light pressure pain on my hips, not really on my shoulders, but for me it is not really bad. Hope that helps a bit ☺️

Hello Imme! I am a student in Germany and I am planning a trip to Norway and is actually clueless on many aspects. I saw your video and it was heart warming and motivating. I have been thinking for a long time to get out from my pretty exhausting everyday life. I would like to know if I could do a 2-3 day hike as I am not an expert hiker. If you could suggest me some hikes, it would be a great help. Also I am planning to go there using public transport and I don't know whether I'll be able to get around using them? Any input would be highly appreciated. Keep on making great videos, keep exploring. Lots of love♥️

Thank you very much for your feedback ☺️ I would recomment buying a map 'Lysefjorden' from nordeca (1:50000). Within this map you see all hiking tracks and you can choose even spontaneously which one to take. For 2-3 days you could chose for example: Hunnedalen - Bjafjellenden - Langavatn - Sandvatn - Hunnedalen or leave Langavatn out. Public transport is difficult I believe. I used to hitchhike, which works pretty well in Norway :) Good luck ☺️

Was du zur Schweiz schreibst, verwundert mich.

liking your videos, I just have one small criticism. When your washing your pots etc could you please not wash them in the water as any food and sauce is lying stagnant in the water source. Better you fill your pot and wash away from any water source and use the ground which can absorb the waste water and the soap you are using. I've seen this countless times on my adventures " I am a qualified Mountain Leader " and see old food lying in small streams and lakes which dose not rot away or get eaten by whatever wildlife is there at the time be it Animal or Aquatic. Even rinsing your pot, you should rinse and pour into soil away from the source.
