Steel is broken after the update B119. Can't make steel anymore. It says "Crusible" required, which one I can build but not place in the tool section of the forge. Build a new forge also - same result....... Solution may be reset the steel perk somethere in the profil and lern the steel perk again.

the stinkin' monolit is not safe to build, it's full of sand and gravel patches and between some asphalt; i have a different seed but seeing this video i created a new world and went there, tried to lvlup the top..not safe, decayed all the way down (i assume, at least it looks like it), even if you try to reinforce, too much work and too big of a risk

I'm playing the same seed with you, and I spawned right near that monolith, one of the first things I did was collapse the smaller one which took a few minutes but was worth the haul in stone etc.

Did you see the new update yet? As I remembered Steel able to craft at lv40 (toolsmiting lv6) and chemistry station around lv60-70 (science lv6 or 7) Mining the small rocks on the surface still a good way to level up (feel like they nerf a bit), I mined for 1day=90mn with Steel Pick 200 and I got around 10 levels. And now the only way to get steel in day 2 is trader. Watching your vids and chill with the music really make my habit already! Great as always.

z I forgot to mention ;) check out the skyscrapers like dishong towers,first time I went in one by time I got up to the 7th floor I was so scared I was blocking every door behind me. bloody barricades, metal fences blocking everywhere and my dishong had a music stage with perfectly placed sleepers on it next to a fallen ceiling :( too bad I lost the save file or I'd give ya the seed

I was hoping that town on the mountain would have one, but I will never know, because of that error when I get near it. I will have to do more exploration to find other towns.

I've had some bad roads, but that monolith was just horrible. I've commented somewhere before, but my road made a canyon and I did an Evel Knievel jump into the wall of the canyon and died. Did you put a new bedroll down? I wonder where spawning near your bed would put you.

You have to fly away from the bad chunk region, using the DM command and reload your game.

Sometimes it might take me three times before I get a good map that isn't glitched. I think they need to cut back on the amounts of big hills and deep valleys. Love the new really huge buildings. Too much loot. Be a shame to see one fall down. lol

The best way to level up is to dig, but most players don't have the patience :)

see...that's the thing. I have my mining skill close to maxed out, and I'm still way behind you in levels, like by 50 levels! and it's taking ages, too! I think the leveling rates are different. [of course, I'm using Valmod, which might put a big tweak on things. like using the auger is mechanical, and pick is mining. for one thing.]

That's gotta be one of the weirdest world seed glitches I've seen in a youtube vid yet. However...I found something in my last game before 16.3 came out that was just the reverse it was a hole in the world that cradled a curve in the Road that went beyond sight and I'm assuming directly down to bedrock.... It was a 'run off the edge of the world and panic ' moment. And hit the pause, debug mode and fly in order to figure out what the HELL was going on..... and It was a BS death where it literally would have been impossible to recover my gear from at that point and I flew back to the edge. Not accepting Acts of BS deaths like that.. lol some day i'll test out the actual depths of that hole...
