Got a new location to check out... turns out keeping all your weapons in a wooden chest next to your door while playing with 50% block durability is a bad idea. Thanks to that police zombie for pointing that out

THANK YOU!! Your vids really do help. Had no IDEA all I had to do was move the parts into the left-hand list. Thought that was just an info window. Kept telling the game: “Whaddaya MEAN I’m ‘missing’ parts?! There in my inventory!!”, but the game only silently mocked me.

Nice video I know enough about guns but not too sure about making rounds, are there still books you need to read to make specific ammo or do you just need the perks?

Just the necessary perks. Bullets don't require a specific blueprint

It varies. Some ammo types you only need the Skill/Perks, others you need the schematic (e.g. Shotgun Slugs).

something i dont see people say anything about is that you can take the gun parts to a work bench and use two of the same part and get a better version of that part. something i do that i dont see others even mention that is helpful to get much better guns.

Yeah, I only partially covered that by talking about swapping in better parts, but i didn't include the ability to combine like pieces for a better one. Thanks for pointing it out.

Great video and I know alot of people will benefit. Might be worth calling out you can also attach a flashlight to the guns and operate with the on/off key for the flashlight.

Only put flashlights on your guns if you do not own a Mining Helmet. The lights are mutually exclusive, and the Mining Helmet is FAR better than a gun-mounted light.

hey, is it useful to read already known recipes, or sell them, I found that I get tons of schematics to things I already know, also, do you have a full unlocked map?

No, it doesn't do anything to read them if you already know them. And the only way to get a fully unlocked map (without mods) is to explore the entire map :)

+Capp00 I don't want to be rude by correcting you Capp since you're the 7 Days To Die guy, and I love your videos and you might remember me from asking some questions on quite a few of them, but after playing the game for quite awhile now, I've found that by reading schematics that you've already previously read, you will go up 1 level in weapon smithing for that particular weapon each time you re-read that schematic. Same goes for armor schematics.

The magnum is the most elusive to own and does a ton of damage, so I'd say that one. But the rifle is great for distance shots.

Nonsense. AK-47 is - by FAR imo - the best gun in the game if you have the ammo for it. And I'd say the Sniper Rifle is much more elusive than the Magnum. The other disadvantage to the Magnum is that is doesn't share bullet type with any other gun, so making bullets for it is not ideal, especially on a multi-player co-op situation. Compare to .765mm rounds which can be used by the Rifle, Sniper Rifle and AK-47.

The pump-action shotgun has a smaller shot-spread than the sawed-off shotgun, but the sawed-off shotgun does more damage.

Sawn-off is totally useless unless you are *almost* at melee range to your target. Long-barrel shotgun is superior in almost all other situations. In addition, the long-barrels allows you to load Shotgun Slugs, which are far superior to Shells. So, in short, the long barrel is best.

This is not a good way to upgrade your guns. Whenever you find some spare parts for a gun, you should take your existing gun's corresponding parts and combine the matching parts on a workbench. Do this regardless of the level of the parts. When you combine 2 Pistol Barrels (for example) the resulting Barrel will have a higher level than both input Barrels had. Repeat this for all gun parts and your guns will hit level 600 pretty quickly....much quicker than the method shown in the vid, that's for sure. :)

Even if I play creative with the best armor and an AK with unlimited ammo on SCAVENGER difficulty I am hard pressed to explore the hub long enough to find a hardware stores, libraries, etc.
