AWESOME, OG! Loving the start, and yeah, there’s a lot to learn. Here are a few things I’ve figured out so far (no spoilers): • If you hold down the “E” key, you can pick up almost anything - dumpsters, wheelie bins, boxes, etc., similar to Undead Legacy. • Dysentery is active from the get-go (its mean), oh and eating Old Shams now gives 50% chance of getting it. • Adult Diapers come in handy. • Watch out for animals in town

The text I read around 15:43 pretty clearly said that I won't contract those ill-effects until level 5. Are you saying I misread that? I can't wait till I have the privilege of wearing adult diapers! 😂

@@TheBeardedOG Yeah, I ended up with dysentery after eating an Old Sham within an hour of in-game time, and then again from drinking from the lake and again from the brook (water in the ditch). I also got infected after a fight with Darline. I accidentally rode out to the wasteland, but I was fine since I'm still at level 1. The Level 5 lock only prevents infections and ailments in Hazard biomes that typically require vitamins before you enter. So far, I've died six times (just testing the game, of course - cough), once from zeeks and five times from animals. They are really tough and fast! I’m playing on Nomad settings, but the other settings are the same as yours.

Just a quick tip for you! In order to level your class (Soldier) you have to use the weapons associated with that class. Sorry to say that your favored Sledge isn't one of them. Hope that was vague enough to not be considered a spoiler. Good luck!

Thank you. I have recorded 3 episodes so far and have figured that out by now. I think I may just ditch the sledge altogether as the axe also seems to have decent knock down. Appreciate the comment!

However - you were correct when you were looking at the builder class. That is indeed a sledgehammer :)

You can just pick up crops, flowers, etc. No need to use stamina/weapon durability by chopping. Subbed, good stuff look forward to your playthrough! Remember, you can pick up many, many things in Rebirth. Including containers and boxes for early game. :)

All good tips witch I have since discovered. I still harvest plants with the knife out of habit but sometimes I remember to pick then directly lol. Hard to get out of vanilla mode haha!

Just watching the first few mins, but in the Purge there is no horde night, no zombies in the outdoors, and no quests from the trader...its just a clear of all the pois on the map...super excited you are playing this..its been a favorite to play!

If you remember the note the sensors that tell you how many zombies is not always accurate, some of the noises are “I think” are zombie counts because you get a supply drop after so many zombie kills.

The auto pick up loot from zombies is a mod you have to craft. It doesn't seem to show up on the lists unless you search for it.

I downloaded and started a soldier. A bit harder than vanilla. Day 3, a grizzle chased me all the way through town, I couldn't lose him. Empty both guns to take it down. This mod is awesome. I'm gonna be "tagging" along as you play :-)

Welcome! I have indeed noticed that the enemies don't give up as easily as vanilla. Episode 4 will start off with a massive horde attack who chase me for a long time down the highway. Scary stuff lol! Hope you enjoy the series and the mod!

Basically ascension works by level and natural selction is based on number of zombies killed. They get faster, do more damage type of things. Also can start opening doors and jumping really high

Not sure if this constitutes a spoiler and if it does I apologize, but the glowing of the zombie hands indicates that they are a special "resistant" zombie, like the ones you defeated in this episode were explosion resistant. There are some other colors such as green and blue (won't tell you what those resistances are because that feels spoilery to me) I believe, and later on the zombies can be multi-resistant and will have a different color on each hand

Hi and thanks for the tip. I have since been told (multiple times lol) about the glowing hands. I should have defined spoilers I suppose but it's a bit of a subjective thing. I guess maybe don't reveal any of the bigger surprises in store but basic game mechanics are ok. Also, I just finished recording episode 6 so I have a pretty good handle on al the Rebirth basics by this time.

Not sure but I don't think you need vitamins until lvl5. One of the notes said something about it. Edit...you realized towards the end of the video 😉

Well actually you do need them for normal play. That note only applies to entering biomes that you aren't ready for. Just found that out myself.
