I think the only real way for horde every night to work is to extend the real world time of each day to give the most time to gather resources
@icy74723 ай бұрын
Hey Glock, I think the challenge for horde every night has changed more into building better base designs quickly. Future horde every night series will become finding good base POI's and transforming them quickly to just survive the first couple nights until you're strong enough to build, and maintain a proper base. The faster you get cement unlocked the better imo, and maybe (when you find the trader) picking up materials like cement to upgrade the lower half of your base could be crucial in surviving, or at least delaying the zombies so the clock tower doesn't get destroyed by the end of the night. Also maybe if you had spikes on you, you could place them down when they make it through a choke (or are close to) to slow them down and give you more time to retreat whilst getting a little damage in. Pipe bombs are also really cheap so when you can eventually build them those would really help out. Sorry for the long winded comment, but I love your content and horde every night and I don't want to see it end!

I never had a problem with the zombies going threw the floor until I added the new zombie mod so I took it out and everything went back to normal so it's that mod doing it.
@itsmikedev3 ай бұрын
I'm not so sure it's just that mod, he did have the same issue with his trapped inside series, I think Dishong tower. Granted that was a previous build of the game, but it didn't have a zombie mod installed. I've had the issue from time to time (fully vanilla), always in the tier 5 missile silo POI so you end up failing the quest most of the time. Saying that though, it is definitely worth trying without the mod installed if he keeps getting it next time.

@Dave-nr3pd Playing the vanilla on PS5. I've had zombies either spawning under the ground or falling through it. I had a pit drop style base. After horde night, there was always a zombie beneath my tower and behind concrete. I knocked out the concrete to kill the zombie, and there was no tunnel.

To me... the outside looks to have some panels at the corners... so a ladder on the wall between those corners isn't building out since some of the building is already out that far.

You can always knock out a few blocks on the opposite side from your entrance and add a ladder there. They shouldn't see it as an entrance and will have a low chance of double atacking and getting to it since you can jump 2 blocks.

You could probably get some zombies to fall out the window even without a sledge turret. The zombs broke the floor block below the window... replace that with a pole rotated to be flush with floor. Thin as possible but still pathable. When the zombs bunch up under the scaffold they might push the zomb standing on the pole off, so they do their falling animation right out the window. 😆

I have an idea on how to do a setup for some melee on the tower, since the tower is 5x5 I created a diagram for the second floor setup (I hope is clear enough). First: You can start on the second floor. Clean the street level floor and put a ladder for the zombies to climb from below. Second: destroy some outer walls to gain some room ("south and north side" as in the diagram bellow) and destroy all of the floor blocks. Third: put the centered pole path to your defenses (from "south to north"), that way some zombies will make it and some will fall. Fourth: repeat on every floor until construction limit. You can even put some barbed wire on the open spaces to deal some damage to the zombies while they fall. Cheers! XXFLX D= Defenses XODOX L= Ladder (south ladder for the zombies to climb, north ladder for you) XOPOX P= Centered Pole XOPLX O= Open space XXFFX X= Wall F = Floor

if you make just a bridge out off the tower some meters long or to a building. the zeds will not use it as a path you but you could use it to go im and out or just use frames before horde starts. i mean you only said you defend the tower and that will not break the rules. maybe also switch the club to knuckles (! with all abilities it doesn't matter how much you get hit), stun batton, spear or sledge. i think they work better in this setup.

Umm if the roof sticks out a bit further than the base of the clock tower, maybe add a rope hanging down to get in quick and can block entrance off with scaffolding bar… turn the bottom 2 rows of blocks to bars as well
@WolfGang_6793 ай бұрын
Hey Glock I think you’ve got the right idea with choke points. The problem you’re having is that they aren’t reinforced enough to keep them from immediately tearing through it I think instead of having hatches at the bottom doorway use two sets of bars and a half slab. The bars being your reinforcement blocks and allowing you to see through them and the slab keeping the zombies from climbing through. Also, using the different landings as choke points is a good idea but make them bigger. Instead of having to aim down at them past the hatch. You could follow the same pattern at the bottom but place the hatch above the slab allowing you to jump through to the next choke point in case they fail.
@robertwheeler66413 ай бұрын
As you said dude definitely a spear needed for that longer reach. Also consider some blocks that they have trouble standing on such as the really thin 0.50 beams, once they fall over they'll fall off back down to the bottom. And like some others have said, lose the stairs and put in blocks that make them jump. Will slow them down massively.

Well, if your tower is three across, you can put a ladder up the middle edge block on any one of the inside stairs and have a slanted security grate at the top, and it'll push 'em down the center hole when they stack and they'll fall to the bottom. And then put a junkie on the block Next to the ladder with a window opposite, and it can just yeet them out the other side.

Have a fighting platform at the top were you can swing at them, Have sloped bricks over the top of the ladder to push zombies off if they stack up at the top. You could have the ladder go up oneside of the inside of the tower and you could put your platform on the other side or stand in a window. it wont be much room but theres not much you can do. If your going to go with your idea get heavy armour and beer atleast for the horde.
