Sorry for the laggy/choppy video - I just started capturing in 4K and obviously there are some settings I need to mess with to try and smooth out the video. Unfortunately the next episode isn't much better. I'm doing what I can to fix this issue, but if I can't get it to capture the gameplay smoothly at 4K I'm going to try taking a step back to 1440 and worst case, just go back to 1080 because I'd rather it be smooth at 1080 then choppy at 4K.

1440p should run better than 4K until they optimize the game, supposedly in the storm's brewing update.

Niiiice. Honnestly I realised there was lag at the end when you were chopping your trees. And at 21'15 a stag appeared on the left of the screen and all was instantly forgotten. Usually, 1440p is totally ok, I watch everything on a 27" screen and never activate 4k. Maybe big TV screens requires it, idk.

I think the only thing you lose by not going out on horde nights is the scramble to create a horde base entirely within the confines of your base, with the materials you have around you. While that in itself is entertaining, I agree with Glock that the ability to go outside during horde nights is better for the series as a whole. What I think could be a cool concept is giving yourself maybe 1 or 2 days before being "locked in". You'll start in one place and you must head in the direction of the place you'll be staying at to get there before nightfall. This way you can use this time to try and grab things you might not find within the compound but it'll be on a time limit. Anyways, thanks for the video, as always, Glock. One of the bright spots in my workday.

I find a lot of the fun from the trapped inside comes from the scramble to make horde bases with limited resources and space. Fighting the zombies through the gauntlet at the hospital and bringing the entire Dishong tower down are some of my favourite moments from those series, which I feel is missing from this one as you are just running around every horde night. My suggestion would be maybe next time do a 1 night on, one night off trapped inside where you are trapped inside during the day, have a horde one night, and then get the next night to go out and loot. Would probably also reduce the later monotony where you begin to skip days as there will always be something to do. You could even get to go to the trader like in night crawler

Just cook the woodblock in the furnace and you'll get coal 👍 or you can mine it at y-30 below and it's abundant.

I really liked this series! I thought it was entertaining even though it could be repetitive at times. Even as a player of 7d2d, I would not be so brave to nerd pole up streetlights during horde nights. Thank you for always creating entertaining content and trying these different challenges! 😄

The change to being able to go out on horde night makes the concept viable, and adds a bit of excitement and danger. Being stuck inside gets pretty static and impossible otherwise. It's also more entertaining for the challenge to be difficult but possible.

I think the new format for Trapped Inside works great. No dull episodes thanks to the infection, finish with horde every night... just works.

In my head 😅 It could would work for the new Hord Every night/Rambling Man. Only use what you have in your back pack. You have what you have, and you loot for what you need. You can survive in all the buildings. Use the land claim blocks to save your houses, and pick up your gear. Ex: forge ... You can leave your stuff at the first house untill the land claim block deactivates.

After the end of the zombie apocalypse, Humans resettling the area were puzzled by the OSB boxes stacked near tree stumps and light poles throughout the town. Did the zombies do it and what purpose did it serve the minds of the infected? Researchers suggest it could hint at some kind of zombie culture or religion which was forming.

Just a food for thought Glock there’s plenty’s of burnt logs in the attics furnaces of houses you also could have gotten coal probably safer too.

@Glock9 - Excellent series mate! Dont forget for coal next time, you can also get it in most houses with a furnace, usually there's some sort of burnt wood pile in the furnace along with a little goodie bag like trash, purse, or gun bag.

I think it is going better then the other trapped inside runs. I think to make any other rules to make it hardcore, would be, the decision on horde night, and then you can never change it! I would love to see the Fun Pimps see Glocks trapped inside series, and specifically make a POI (and even give it some kind of name so you know it is for trapped inside), and in this POI, it has all the things you would need to never have to leave! Maybe even option, in game, to change loot options for bags! Thanks for the video Glock!

JSYK for another time, almost anything burned will give you coal. Campfires laying around, the fire inside of a furnace, firepits, looting an outdoor grill, burned houses (just burnt wood on the house). I think burnt houses are the best.

Full biker outfit gives the highest armor class in the medium armors. I have lvl 6 which gives me an extra 6 armor class on top of what the armor gives plus 20 hit points. A real melee set of armor. For running and gunning, you cannot (in my opinion) get better then commando armor. Plus 20 run speed. Add in some crush and leave even the hoard night zombies in the dust. They just cannot catch you.

Best series yet. Perhaps the last episode you can reinforce some fighting positions and no repairs so the horde chases you up to the roof where you refuel and fly off, while flipping the zombies off? 😆

Hell Yeah, no infection! Also that last level of grease monkey would save a lot of hassle but getting 8 skill points to get it just adds more hassle, with the last level of grease monkey the gyro steel cost would go down from 187 to 126.

I feel like unless you know specifically that your POI contains every resource required for you to escape, then leaving in the horde nights to scavenge makes sense in this format. Though maybe only once you've explored the entire building so you can narratively "realize" you have to go out into the wild to have a chance?

I think the law of diminishing returns will catch up with you about the steel. The more you take the less there will be available since it can't regrow.

Glock I have a question, why are you making goldenrod tea over making red tea? They both give 24 hydration and 15% stamina regen, but red tea lowers food and water consumption by 15%, while goldenrod’s only extra effect is to cure dysentery.

Insane amount of cops😧 I always ask for that on a new playthrough 'cause of the challenge and crucible, but I never get it as soon as I want. Edit- I agree with you saying going out doing the blood moon is the way too go for the Trapped Inside series. Makes it much more intense.

Replying in the beginning, so maybe you find what you need in coal. That said, my favorite early game source of coal is fireplaces and furnaces in houses. Furnaces might be a bit difficult during a horde but fireplaces should be easier. For most, either go in the front door if unlocked or break through the living room windows.

Coal drops also from any burnt wooden walls, right the first house had couple burnt pieces of wall. ;)

Maybe its cheesy but in the day time you could start upgrading wood blocks for the XP, you have a decent supply. Maybe you can make something useful like little escape towers you can jump up on. Mining also provides a decent XP source.

Coal from burnt homes or around burnt homes. I know there are some trash burn poi where there are burnt stuff on the ground that I think gives coal.

For steel I would imagine fighting the horde for loot bags will net you more. It will also give you more EXP which can be used to get the final rank of grease monkey.

Agreed, after this Glock needs to do another but not leave the building. Don't get me wrong, I love the series, but we must see a full challenge. I'd be ok with mods, maybe an overhaul. Loot bags mod was just a waste of his time.

Nooope. Nightcrawler has mostly easy breezy nights...with only horde night every 7 days. The creature comfort involved with resource gathering (outside your base) is limited in Trapped Inside series.

Fire places and burning stoves. break apart the embers in the fire place and you get coal.
