So, I had a conversation with one @knurlgnar24 last episode who claimed that honey appears only on the hit that brings the tree below 50% health. I was dubious, but I didn't know enough to say otherwise. Watching the gameplay on this video, Glock grabbed 3 jars of honey from trees, and every time it came on the hit that brought the tree below 50%. So far, @knurlgnar24 is correct. I will continue to pay attention each episode because more data = more better, but I'm willing to believe their statement at this point. Regarding your point, if the "more resources" perk gives a chance for two honey that would be great

You can get forged iron and forged steel out of the hardened loot chest but its got 10000 hit points. Also you can usually dismantle those track lights on the ceiling for lightbulbs too.

Custom adjust the poi placement 3 blocks down to eliminate the mystery as walking into a wall of dirt keeps you honest and burrow below the poi so loot can reset.

Maybe the heavy equipment vehicles are worth breaking down on hoard night too? They have so many hit points that you should be able to get a few parts before the zombies blow it up. Although usually the zombies can jump right up top with you so maybe not.
