TIPS FOR DEFENDING 1. AWARENESS (look around) 2. OFFSIDE (communication) 3. PASSES (good passes) 4. COMPOSURE (stay cool and think) 5. INTERCEPTIONS (good interceptions , think before interceping) 6. TACKLING (guess or get the mistake ) 7. SKILLS (doing skills , outside stepover)

As a full back myself, I can say this is true. When the teams wins, what said above happens and when we lose, the blame comes to us no matter how hard we try. Despite being one of the hardest positions defenders are always underrated. This mostly happens because the ones who blame are just ordinary fans, but the group of people who actually know what is going on does appeciate the whole team and respects the team evenly

I am a CB. I have made 4 brexit tackles in 6 games. I have captained all six games. 4 goal line clearances and 2 goals. 3 yellow cards and 1 red card. New season in school football 7th grade. One of my goals was a header and my other goal was a penalty. We started the season in november. And i hope to finish this season with 15 goals or more. I'm also going to be captain for the rest of my middle school career unless of course i move or i graduate and move on to hs. I'm aspiring to become the next Sergio Ramos and so far I've heard a lot of good things about my potential to reach my goal.

I grew up in Italy playing football everyday, where boys and girls by the age of 10 they already know all the basics of football and half of them have the qualities to start training in minor leagues. I always played as defender because of my size. What I learnt in those years is that awareness is everything. Especially in low -mid level football, if you are aware of opponent's position and their qualities, you can intercept almost every pass. At age 14 we won the local league with the best defense. Me and my other mates wouldn't even need to tackle: where interceptions weren't enough, we were just running on them and use our larger size to make the attacker loose his equilibrium.

Having played in defence many times (I'm normally a midfielder) tackling should never be the major drive of defending. Organisation, reading the game , composure and judging the offside line are far more important. MOst of the game isn't about tackling for a defender and is often actually, a last resort.

I was playing with some kids I didn’t know yesterday and I was GOATed on defense. I kept trying to direct them and tell them where to go to cover passing lanes and I kept anticipating all of the other team’s plays seeing everyone that was making runs. It was so frustrating when I was telling them who to mark and when to press and fall back and for the most part they weren’t listening. For someone who has only been playing a few months and not very seriously at that I think I have a pretty good games iq and awareness and feel for the game. The kids on my team were pretty good in terms of technical ability and such but I feel as though their iq was lacking and I had to make a lot of last ditch tackles and clearances. Still had a lot of fun though. Remember guys the sure fire best way to get better at the game is to play and also be conscious of everything that happens while you do. This will increase your iq and just overall awareness and familiarity with the game. All of that is a super underrated but extremely important part of football that can literally change the entire course of a match especially at lower levels. Just something to keep in mind 👍🏾

This is my strategy in game I focus on the ball and the 3 teammates around him and when I have the ball I look around the pitch and the people in front of me and I look at my teamates I usually cross it to the one that are very far away from me and I don’t go front a lot and I also make sure it doesn’t go offside my awareness is good but am always square so the first tip help a lot am the second biggest in my class and Am 59.3 pounds that’s the definition of upper primary I went to school 2 years late or am in one grade behind high school and I acan the pitch when the ball is out for like a pass I have good pace and phy so far and my shooting is good I have most of my power in my right foot but am left handed and that’s all this video helped a lot thanks for up,pacing this

@fudjester406720 күн бұрын
In '99 or '00, I used to contemplate on this questions (related only to 1 on 1 defending in football and basketball): 1. Why the football dribblers need to land one of their foot first during their dribbling when later they want to kick the ball, change the dribbling direction, accelerate suddenly like quick cuts & breaks, etc? Why it's similar to humans when they walk or run which always need to land one of their foot first before the other foot continues? 2. Why the basketball dribblers often wait for (or quickly reach) the ball to bounce back to their hands during their dribbling before they try to pass, shoot, or other attempts to change the ball movement? Why this too is similar to humans when they walk or run which always need to land one of their foot first before the other foot continues? 3. Why in football & basketball, the dribblers often shorten their dribbling when they get close to one or multiple opponents? Is it the same reason when riding a bike on a straight road and why it's very dangerous to suddenly turn the steer 90 degree to the left or right at 50mph (high speed)? Will the same outcome also appear at 7mph? 4. Thanks to Newton's inertia laws & Vesalius research about human anatomy, the questions above have been answered which then raised a new question, as a defender, what happen if finally you used to take advantage of opponent's inertia? Well, what I know is whatever the dribbler/opponent do or decide, he can't do anything during his inertia moment (except giving up on 1 on 1), whether he decides to do a feint, quick cuts & breaks, etc. And the longer a dribbler waits for the defender to eat his bait, the more he will be at disadvantage. I hope no defender get intoxicated with the habit of taking advantage of opponent's inertia, because he might like 1 on 1 too much against a stronger opponent or very skilled dribbler.😊
