Excellent tutorial! Listening to a handful well established pro's, such as yourself over the years has gained me massive amount of knowledge. It's got me signed with releases and up'd my game go a much higher level. This tutorial really informative, made complete sense and was quick and easy to understand. Superb! I recently bought your new drum pack. Really well produced kicks, snare hats etc that need very little processing. So anyone wanting a great drum sample pack then get it.

Really really great to hear! and thanks for getting my pack! Keep producing Jonathan!

@@Alice-Efe can you helpanswer a common question.My tracks when A and B'ing to a commercial dance track is always so much quieter. Even though i send it off for mastering it's never as loud as the pro tracks. Wheni test it on the loudness penalty website they it will becturned down by a few db. Yet it is already quiter than the commercial tracks. So i just dontvunderstand how to get my tracks as loud without destroying it with distortion. My mixdowns are always gain staged and sent to nastering with at least 6 db or more of head room. Thanks

Track delay in ableton causes timing issues during rendering. For example, if you take said rendered track back into Ableton and try and warp it, it won't line up, bpm will be wrong and the warping algorithms will struggle to preserve sounds. You're better off moving sounds manually with grid turned off.
@LedgerLiner2 жыл бұрын
Bro stop tripping. Its a clap. Who's gonna render clap bring it back and warp it. What u talking about. Get a grip
@ultimatefurydave2 жыл бұрын
@@LedgerLiner I'm talking about rendering the master bus. If you bring a song back into a new project and warp it to the correct bpm and it doesn't lock to the grid exactly how you wrote it, without fucking around with a million warp markers, or the warping comes up with a different bpm, or you have warbling sounds, Its because of track delay in the project you wrote the song. There could be other factors such as plugins with crazy latency, but most of the time it's track delay. Maybe you can prove me wrong but I've seen it happen a lot.

What happens with those Reverbs when it's played in Mono though? How do you cater for Mono speakers in clubs/venues? Does the Reverb just disappear?

as a DJ i cannot stand claps that aren't on grid.. as a producer i appreciate them.. lol.. sometimes i have to consider what im making my music for, a lot of these off grid and odd arrangements are terrible for nice long smooth transitions.

Great techniques, I just think you went slightly overboard on the processing, the sound seems too unnaturally bright, and a bit too much reverb. The "before" sounds more pleasant, even though it does need a bit of work.

One question aboith the shakers sidechained to the snare. Are they also sidechained to the kick therefore they will kinda duck at the snare anyway?
@Alice-Efe2 жыл бұрын
Yes! But the snare sidechain is more agressive, so it will pronounced more when the snare hits.
