Very nice video!!:) In Germany we have so many vegan bread spreads that are made from vegetables. I guess it is kind of part of our "bread culture" :) I'm addicted to an aubergine one or curry mango papaya. And I got so many non vegans like my dad hooked on it too haha 💪🏻💚

ohh you are coming to Berlin? When? I live here !! Yes there are tons of places, it's paradise haha :) we have 2 completely vegan supermarkets and one completely zero waste store ... not to mention tons of great vegan veitnamese and other restaurants like vegan döner ! The bread spreads are available in most supermarkets now, even discounters like aldi (still organic tho). If you need some recommendations, feel free to write me :)

Yep! I am coming in the first week of January so it will be cold but I would rather be cold and roaming the streets of Berlin than cold and bored at home haha. Oh my god I am literally so excited just to eat all the food Berlin has to offer - yes please, how can I find your details? xx

Sorry for my bad English. You are an inspiration for me, thank you. I used to diet based on cow milk, my 'basics' were milk, butter, every kind of cheese... I know, how do swaps of them, but what about yogurt? Could you tell me, how can I replace it? It's important for me.

Coconut milk yogurt now exists at many places in my area, but Walmart carries them!

Lovely video! I just got some lentils the other day! Lots of fiber! Ive gotten my boyfriend to buy almond milk along with myself but he is being a struggle getting rid of actual cow milk as well haha..

I'm so gutted, because I'm on low FODMAP diet, and can't eat most of stuff you've mentioned ( porridge, silken tofu, most of legumes, etc) I'm vegetarian for a few years now, and also don't drink cow's milk since many years.

Very nice video, as usual :) I just want to ask you if you happened to find a store that sells packaged free tofu in London... I love it but I always feel bad about the plastic, since I'm trying to be zero waste. I'll keep on hunting XD
@SilverDelta7 жыл бұрын
I looked for some recipes, making homemade tofu looks ridiculously easy! I'll give it a go :)
@SustainablyVegan7 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is surprisingly easy! You can also try and go to Japanese shops to buy fresh tofu in your own container! Try the Japan Centre if you live in London :)

Hey I'm trying to reduce the amount of dairy I consume, I am vegetarian but I'm finding it that bit harder to eat vegan because I'm allergic to nuts and peanuts. I've started drinking oat milk but what would you recommend as a replacement for yoghurt because I love yoghurt a lot?

do you cook all of your legumes from dry? can you store them after cooking to use later/how long do they last? Trying to get away from cans haha
@Sara.Aspenvik7 жыл бұрын
I cook my beans using an instant pot but you definitely don't need fancy equipment, just a big pot. I freeze my beans in glass containers that hold around the same volume as 2 cans (cos I normally use that many in a recipe!) To be honest, they don't last that long in my freezer, but I would imagine they're good in the freezer for a couple of months. Just be sure to freeze them with a little of the bean water (from cooking), I find it helps with fighting off freezer burn.
