There is no cure for eczema, only treatments and managing it through lifestyle decisions. I know of several treatments: topical steroid creams such as Aristocort, ingested steroids, and Protopic. Lifestyle choices to minimise eczema ranges from eating healthy and exercising, only showering in lukewarm water, cutting out sugar from your diet, moving to a climate that suits your particular eczema, and moisturising affected areas.

For me when I get a flare up, I have to use steroids to clear it. A lot of it is avoiding your triggers and moisturizing your skin. Like for me fragrances, latex, certain types of fabric and stress can trigger mine so I avoid them. For moisturizing I use a thick lotion with colloidal oatmeal and petroleum jelly. You also have to do it when your skin is damp. When I’m on my topical steroids I put petroleum jelly over it so it can better absorb the steroids.

@@Ghostly.Sunsetz REAL! Like recess was almost impossible cause of the sun so I had to wait for literal WINTER to even at least play. I’ve like had mine all my life and the sad part was that my mother refused to acknowledge how bad it was getting. like she forced me to play outside knowing my skin on my face is extremely fragile, plus I’m also allergic to sunscreen so.. . Now that I’m older my skin is still very damaged from all the damage from childhood, like my nickname for a while was leatherface. Then some of my friends talk about the things that they do outside like the beach and sometimes I can’t help getting jealous. Sometimes, people don’t know how lucky they are. But that does mean that we like live with poison ivy almost 24/7, so like we strong :))

@asherandsilas9627 yess!! I remember being in sm pain during summer because lakes irritated my face. Chlorine water sucks and dries me out badly, And normal water dries my skin alot more than the regular person! So I always remember having a blast in a pool or a lake then suffering in my bumpy, itchy skin afterwards. And the winter wouldn't help either because of how dry it gets, and mine is super reactant to any extreme temperature. So the super hot amd the super cold is the worst! Showers are rough because in the summer, I can't go too cold, and winter can't go too hot. So I'm just Lukewarm. And I never got actually bullied for mine, but i do know people called me crusty as jokes and it really does hurt! People don't realize the mental effect it has aswell! I still suffer from jt and I normally have it on my face and lips area. And it isn't awful, usually just very dry patches of skin. But it can really affect how you view yourself. It's a big struggle but it really does makes us stronger! :)

So many natural products, I bath in unscented pink rock salt, bath milk, and disinfectant, I don't use rough loofahs. @@SergeantOscar hmmm, well first you can clean it with warm water to bathe it off. After that, then you can add Ketoconazole Cream to it.

I have contact dermatitis and it was caused by an irritant, which was a plant ☘️ in my back yard.I've had it for five years now and I don't know how to cure as it constantly gives me immense pain.

Here is how to cure: Get treated by a dermatologist to get rid of what is active on your skin. Then get rid of the plant causing your contact dermatitis. It the plant is truly the cause, you won't see it again. If you get rid of the plant and you see your rash again, then you have something else going on.

It certainly can be on one finger, but you should consider seeing a dermatologist if possible, since there are a few other things than can cause blisters on fingers.

I’m 19 and had untreated Seborrheic Dermatitis for most of my life. My mom never believed me when I said my skin was unusually dry and irritated, and I complained that no generic shampoo/conditioner and moisturizer helped. My scalp was always flaking and itchy, and I accepted it as “normal”. One day, I decided to do my own research and had a dermatologist confirm it was seborrheic dermatitis. I have to specially order my own custom skin care and extensive treatment eczema shampoo and conditioner. Although it’s very expensive with my low-income, the relief I have now is life changing. My skin turned out to be beautiful and radiant without the severe dryness.

Ugh thank you for spreading this awareness! I have 1, 2 & 6. Many doctors I’ve seen haven’t even heard of pomphylyx.

I have pomohlyx/dishydrotic eczema. It only shows up very rarely every couple of years although I don't know what the exact trigger is. But whenever it shows up I'm also having some sort of reaction elsewhere like an asthma attack, stress sweating or I'm extremely ill and my immune system is weak (I'm diabetic). It's happened since I was a kid and yes it is incredibly itchy and nothing soothes it. Sometimes it's so itchy I will scratch holes into my skin and have to get them treated at the ER because they are so deep.

For those wondering if they have ringworm or discoid (aka nummular) eczema - there is a simple test that a dermatologist can do as you are there in the exam room that can confirm one or the other.

Just try BASIL spice. Make tea thereof. Bath with it or rub it on affected areas. Leave to dry. Smear castor oil. There is non scented. You can find organic at online stores. Any castor oil at your chemist.

Man, it's so good to know what these are called. My dermatologist always just tells me that i have eczema and doesn't explain further... I have types 1-4, and I was baffled how they can all be eczema. It also sucks having eczema because people will always ask me why my skin looks the way it is or think that it's contagious.

Try colloidal silver gel or cream. Avoid deep fry, bake, greasy food. Omega 3 is good not saturated fat like the fat in red meat. Pasture chicken and eggs, fish that have scales are good with quality protein. White, yellow, and green vegetables, fruits and legumes are good, although there are some exceptions, like apples, pineapples, leechi, wheat. Flaxseed oil helps both internally and externally. No hot spices during the breakout and avoid for the rest of the time.
