0:13 - Utilize the full frequency spectrum. Check what is missing. But don't put too much in order to not mess it up. 2:48 - Don't overwhelm listeners - compression 5:22 - Panning 6:14 - Extra pro tip: fill up the track with panned background elements (crashes, cymbals for ex) 7:14 - High pass/eq - leave only the main part of an instrument 8:52 - Check/produce in mono 9:50 - Volume balance - half way of mixed track 10:42 - Reference other tracks

It’s so reassuring when you do this stuff previously. I used fl on and off for probably 20 years. There’s so much I don’t know. Like the levels in seg2 I never edit that

Like you stated mixing in mono is really helpful in my opinion. I use it throughout the whole creation process. Especially making club tracks. I don't know if many are aware most big club and concert systems are in mono!!! Many working DJ's aren't even aware. Having lots of mixer tracks tweaked with stereo imagers and hard panning may not translate into the club and can mess with peaks immensely. I have found rogue mix peaks are sometimes a result of too much stereo information. Messing with the individual track stereo mixer knob will assist the hat or synth or any element become more audible in mono. With that said, when pushing the individual sounds stereo mixer knob to mono, stereo width can be restored by bussing a mixer track and put a stereo imager on it. When sending the signal to the stereo separation buss the mono track input will sound wider in stereo and retain a more upfront spot in mono at the same time. This is not the law on all elements but is subject to every situation. Mix in mono to reveal what melodic and percussive elements get quieter when you roll the master stereo knob to the right. However, these same elements may now dominate or increase the volume in stereo possibly throwing off the mix. It's all about balance and deciding what techniques work best when and where. I hope this helps and keep up the good tutorial work.

Do they Intentionally put in mono at clubs? And if so why? Cause most clubs have speakers all around the room so it could easily be in stereo I would think?

Put EQ on master bus and cut everything above 3k and everything below 300Hz sharp, and listen than if any of the instruments are in conflict with eachother - dinamic and fq wise - in middle range, also with mid-range part of the drums, vox, fx, HH. Then use the compression, subtile EQing and Pan to adjust any issue there is, and than turn the Eq off and behold the diference. I do it between 265Hz and 2.8KHz. If you're really strict you can do it in mono also the sounds you've pan-ed will be quieter in mono so you should check if it makes a significant difference. Because the heart of the mix is in midrange fix that and the top and the bottom part should be much smaller issue afterwards.
