This was my favorite movie as a little girl. We didn’t own it, so when the Disney Channel played it I was glued to the screen.

I remember watching this film and loving it and I've never read the book that the movies is based on, but it's still a great Roald Dahl adaptation. I still love the movie now.

Actually James and the giant peach peach is Disney second and stop motion movie
@drennansmith5953 жыл бұрын
Another fact: the scene where Spike and Sponge almost getting squished in the car was not something green screened squishing the car. It was actually a really good stop motion model.

Fun fact: after this movie although neither would work together ever again, both Burton and Selick would help sort of kickoff the stop motion studio Laika. Between November 2003 and 2005, Burton was making two films: Corpse Bride and Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Granted corpse bride was animated at 3 mill studios in London however given how the film was funded by Warner Bros. It made sense that they hire an American animation studio to help out. Plus the fact at the time Laika was about to make Coraline so I guess corpse bride was they're way of testing the waters if they can make a successful movie. Granted I could be wrong.
