Not all dumpees are flawed, my dumper is emotionally unavailable, emotionally immature and extremely avoidant. The person he is now is completely different from the guy that pursued me for 2yrs. I’d love to teach him that he has destructive patterns and will continue to lose good people and waste people’s time. I gave friendship for a time until I had enough and told him I need to move on and him in my orbit is keeping me stuck. He opted to leave me on read, 2 months later I felt bad and reached out to tell him I loved him and would be a friend (my reasoning is I know he has traumas and I don’t want to add to that) again left on read. It’s just so cold and heartless. I no longer care anymore and I suspect that’s why he decided to do the one thing he knows inflicts pain and triggers my abandonment wounds. Real mature.

That's true. Sometimes, dumpers have baggage and trauma that they need to get rid of before they can form a truly healthy relationship. Unfortunately if it's their innate behaviour, that's pretty tough to change unless they decide to do so for themselves. The best you can do at this time for yourself is to move on. A lot of my friends think I should not take my ex back. I think that we are human and we make mistakes, and he was my partner, so I want to give him a chance. He broke up with me because he "wants a girlfriend that is a programmer and who he can build a business with." Our friends were all confused and were like "you are that girl lol" (Also ironic cuz I'm going through a job process with a big company for a learn to hire as a programmer program). Hopefully he will learn his lesson soon. I feel like I need to push the lesson #4.

Rebound guy here. My ex broke up with me a month ago to go back with his ex fiance/husband (dont really know what they were). We were together for three months before their contact (not sure who contacted who). I believe they were not together for at least 3-6 months. So all of these tips may work for you. However, do all us "rebound loves" a big favor: If you see them with someone else, leave them alone. Also go on healing journey before you decide to date someone new.

I just split with someone I deeply cared about. It’s not as big of a deal as some people go through but it hurt so much because I actually felt adored and understood by her. That doesn’t come around often, and at this level, it never has. She’s apologized but I haven’t fully accepted it yet. Planning to talk to her again when I’m actually ready to forgive and I want to just lay it all out and ask her the hard questions on why she lied when communication was our biggest achievement with each other. Should I give her another chance if she actually comes to her senses? I feel such a strong connection with her still, and it may go against what everyone thinks is the right move. The idea is that by the time I talk to her, I will not care if it goes either way, just as long as I do literally all I can do.

Hey brad He asked for a break initially by saying he don't want to be in a relationship but later he said he lost feelings towards me(I've made few mistakes like i talked to my ex when we were in a relationship and all)I said we'll genuinely try to fix things and I asked for a month he said no.So we broke up. Later he asked if we can be fwb but I said no than he said he was just asking. Yesterday he texted me asking if i want a chance to fix things. I said it involves both. He agreed and we thought of trying to fix things and give us a chance for a month. But after sometime he talked about it and he said it is not a good idea. He said it takes time for everything to get normal. So I said that we'll take a break and focus on ourselves now and later when we are really ready we can date. We didn't put any time period but we thought of coming back to eachother when both of us feel that way. He is happy with the decision too. Am confused now what can I do next?

Hi Brad, my ex and I broke up about 7 months ago. I've probably watched all your videos, lol. We did no contact for the first 2 months, and ever since, we've been texting and having sex regularly. We meet up nearly every weekend, and she stays over at mine. She's also let me take her out on what I would call dates. I get a lot of mixed signals, however, she has said we are not getting back together. One strange thing is she refuses to tell her mum that she's speaking to me again, which I think is part of the problem. I'm not sure what the issue is there though... In the last week or two, she's become quite distant, ignoring texts and cancelled last minute last week. I'm wondering if I need to take a step back, ask her if there's a problem, or walk away entirely?

Those are all promising signs, yes. I suggest to meet her halfway instead of waiting for her to make all the effort. They say people come into your life for a season or for a lifetime, or something along those lines. So time is never wasted. Someone is either a blessing or a lesson learned. Learn the lessons and become a better version of yourself and learn what you want, don't want, etc. and you'll eventually find a better match, which your ex obviously isn't. Take care!

If he shows you love, then you may be operating out of insecurity. What's the context of his messages/conversations with the other girl? It's normal for men and women to have friends of the opposite gender and throwing accusations or having unwarranted jealousy will only destroy your relationship, so try to give him the benefit of the doubt and really trust him unless he deems to be unworthy of your trust, yeah?
